My husband, who is eighty years old was discharged from the hospital to this facility last night and the hospital arranged transportation. When we got here, no one knew who he was or that he was even coming. They wanted to weigh him when he got here. Why that was top priority, I don’t know but my husband cannot walk on stand without assistance and the “tech” I assume because she never told us who she was and wouldn’t answer any of our questions. She refused to assist him with standing on the scale from the wheelchair. My husband wasn’t treated with any dignity or respect. The administrator told us that the “took care” of the person from last night but I don’t feel good having him in here. It takes them up to 30 minutes to answer a call light. I had to help him use the bathroom this morning. I’ve been here for nearly two hours now and no one from physical therapy ( the whole reason why he’s here) has come in yet. And the flipping TV only has streaming services on it, no live TV. He’s eighty, and blind, how is he supposed to navigate that? This place is a hole but my husband only has Medicare and this place was the only choice. They brought him dinner last night and left the dirty tray in his room all night. Don’t send your loved one here, please heed my warning. This place and the people here are subpar.

My great aunt passed away here on 12/19/25 and the way our family was treated by the staff was deeply hurtful and unprofessional. We were on the notification call list and were the only family members who consistently came to visit her, yet the facility failed to call us when she was close to passing to give us any chance to say goodbye. They only called after she had already passed. Beyond this final, devastating lack of communication, the day-to-day experience was incredibly frustrating. Some nurses except a small few were frequently rude. Whenever we had a simple question about my aunt’s care, we were met with the staff on duty either not knowing the answer or claimed that anyone who did know wasn't on shift. Families deserve transparency and empathy and Communication and compassion are vital in aged care, and Sapphire Care failed us on all fronts. I am sharing this so other families know what to expect before trusting them with a loved one.

I toured the facility to compare. Oh my gosh, I would send my loved one anywhere but here. Residents live in filth, barely any staff, residents rooms are so dirty and the facilities look like everything is breaking. Their parking lot was filthy and I stayed around to listen to conversations and heard staff saying that they were all quitting again. Stay away from here.

My sister was recently transferred to Sapphire. Marcia was very sweet. She helped us to locate my sister as she was not in her room when we arrived. She was in physical therapy. Also Sydney the physical therapist was very sweet too. We are having issues getting my sister's electric wheelchair from the other assisted living facility and she offered to inquire and help facilitate the transport is possible. For the first time in 2 years my sister's hair was brushed and she appeared to be clean and in clean clothes. I was impressed that they care about the hygiene of my sister. The room and bathroom were clean. The only bad thing is the TV did not work and some of the common floors were dirty and sticky. Also her roommate was nasty wasty.
