I am beyond disgusted with the care my grandfather received at this nursing home. We trusted this facility to care for him, and instead we found what appeared to be neglect. My grandfather is unable to feed himself and depends on staff assistance for meals. During a visit, I discovered that he had not been fed throughout the day despite being on a regular diet and having no medical reason to withhold food. This was not a one-time issue either, because he had noticeably lost weight. No resident should ever have to sit hungry because staff failed to assist them with eating. What upset me even more was finding my grandfather sitting in urine and feces that appeared to have been there for an extended period of time. His brief was soiled, the stool was dried, and it was obvious he had not been checked on appropriately. No human being deserves to be left in those conditions. The bed was also set extremely low, practically on the floor, with no explanation given to our family. The overall condition of the room and the facility raised serious concerns about the quality of care being provided. The staff members I observed seemed more focused on their phones and socializing than caring for residents. When concerns were brought up, the attitude from some employees came across as rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The facility itself had a strong odor throughout the building, suggesting poor housekeeping and inadequate resident care. Residents appeared unattended, call lights went unanswered for long periods, and there seemed to be a lack of urgency when residents needed assistance. Families place their loved ones in nursing homes expecting compassion, dignity, proper hygiene, nutrition, and basic human care. What I witnessed was the complete opposite. My grandfather will be removed from this facility as soon as possible, and I would strongly encourage families to thoroughly investigate other options before trusting this nursing home with someone they love. If I could give 0 stars I would. Thank you.

I had never been to a nursing home before but after coming to Crown Pointe I would never go anywhere else. It exceeds all standards of cleanliness, food, aides, nurses, and administrative staff. The aides are top notch, they are there to help you and they do. The administrative staff has over exceeded our expectations. The cleanliness here is superb and the food is more superb. Excellent therapy and the in house provider, Dr.Raj listened and prescribed. Therapy is kind, considerate, and very understanding. The food is so good here that there should be recipe book. The staff I would like to recognize is Lauren with Admissions, Toiya from Dietary, Prija with Speech, Dee the ADON, Mercedes with Social Services, Melanie in activities, and all of the nursing and dietary staff : Brie, Mercy, Mary, Carol, Marion, Misty, Renee, Kathy, and Pauline.

My father in-law was a resident here in the dementia wing for his final few months. My husband and I were so impressed by the care, and love, that he received here. Everyone here really went above and beyond, and treated him as a person with dignity, not just a patient. Special thanks go to Melanie, the Activity Coordinator, and Larry, Bill's nurse. Melanie called my father in- law Uncle Bill, and made him feel special. She even let him wear her jacket when they took him out for lunch and he was cold. During his final days, I could see that she was sad too. Larry also showed him such great care, and kept us informed. It sounds strange, but I actually miss visiting here because of the staff, and some of the residents that we met. I have nothing at all negative to say about his time here, and would absolutely recommend Crown Pointe!
