We live in the neighborhood. A woman was wandering around in her wheelchair looking for the liquor store (there is not one anywhere near us or in our direction). She was confused, she told us she lives at The Springs in Lake Oswego and she did not want them to find out that she had gone off property as they would be “mad at her.” She informed us that staff asked her not to leave the property but she did anyways. We were concerned about her safety as she was near a busy road and seemed likely to get lost. She stated she was headed to the liquor store “right over there” but there was no liquor store within walking distance in the direction she pointed.
We called the facility and gave them information about our location, they confirmed that this resident lives there and someone would be on the way to meet her and walk her back. We waited with this sweet woman for over an hour and called the facility 3 separate times. Each time the person on the other end did not know the resident was missing, and said that someone would be on the way but nobody ever came. Eventually she decided to go home, we walked with her and ensured she returned to the facility. I never heard back from anyone at The Springs.

Edit: The Administrator at the Springs returned my call after I left a voicemail with information about the situation. They expressed concern and said they would look into the situation further. They said that they want to ensure their residents are safe. I hope that if a resident from this facility could get lost or in danger in some way that they can be accompanied by staff.

What a beautiful place and an awesome staff!! My mom is loving her new home. She cannot say enough about the facility, the staff, and the food. Her favorite is the pub! It reminds her of her home. So grateful to have her in the right place!

My healthy, 97 year old mother moved to The Springs at Lake Oswego in the summer of 2024, it was the best decision that our family has made regarding her care. She used to live in a condo by herself, it was on the other side of town and we only got to see her periodically. Now she's in Lake Oswego, close to us and we're able to visit multiple times per week, it's wonderful. My wife and I have made so many friends there, both residents and staff, everyone is super nice and welcoming.

I always describe The Springs as like living full-time on a cruise ship. There are 3 great restaurants with an incredible food selection that is constantly changing, so that the residents get a variety of choices. There's a pool, theater, workout facilities, onsite physical therapy and the most amazing rooftop area that I've ever seen. The rooftop has a barbecue area, putt-putt golf, bocce ball, a chess board with the 2' tall chess pieces, etc. There are so many activities that you can participate in, you will NEVER be bored. Of course my mom likes to try to take advantage of everything, so she's always putting together puzzles, doing flower arrangements, painting, playing board games and of course she works out 6-days a week in the mornings with a group of other residents. You don't have to be that active, you can choose how much or how little you want to participate but I'll tell you, being active like my mom is, I believe has added years to her life.

Anytime I get the chance, I always try to talk about our experience at The Springs. We actually took a neighbor and his wife there for a tour just last week. I wouldn't associate myself or recommend something unless I was 100% sure of the product and I am 100% sure about The Springs.

I'm always wondering if reviews, good or bad are real, I can assure you that this is absolutely real. You can see my name on this review, all of the staff at The Springs know who my mom is and who I am. If you ever want to ask questions, you can just show one of the sales people at The Springs this comment and they'll know who I am and how to get a hold of me. They won't give you my contact information but you can leave yours with them and I would be happy to reach out to answer any questions that you have.
