My experience with Autumn Lake at Birch Manner has been nothing but positive. The admission process was smooth and the Director explained everything in great detail and guided us through the process. The Business Manager kept the family in the loop of the status of my grandmother's case and what, if anything, was needed to help facilitate the process. My grandmother's dedicated nursing staff provided consistent and genuine care. They made my grandmother feel respected and comfortable and treated her like family. The activities team helped to make my grandmother feel engaged and entertained even when she didn't feel well. I can say that I do not regret my decision to move my grandmother into Autumn Lake at Birch Manor. Thank you to everyone at the facility for everything.

Surprisingly pleased with Autumn Lake once we learned their rythym and flow. The staff was always accomodating and assisted when needed. My mother had a very pleasant rehab experience considering her circumstances. The Physical Therapy department-excellent! Thank you.

I have a friend there and I’m really impressed with them, especially since we’ve had bad experiences in other facilities. Birch manor is extremely clean and pleasant. The staff is attentive and work hard. The therapy and therapist are top notch. I have no doubt they will have him up and moving in no time. Thank you to the staff for your great care of my friend!!!!!

This place was awful when my husband arrived. He was bedridden and would wait hours to be cleaned up, even though he had a horrific bed sore. It is under staffed, especially on the weekends. Some nurses were nice but most have no compassion and are rude. Luckily, I was there every day to advocate for him. The food was always cold and the last day he was there, he was served the wrong meal. The furnishings are old, fabric chairs and the closet had wood peeling off. I could not recommend this place with a good conscience. I believe things only got better because I spoke with the director and they knew I was going to be there. I wish I could post pictures. The only part that was good were the physical therapists. They got my husband to a point where he could come home. That's the only reason I could give a star.

My father was a resident at Birch Manor for 9 months, which included both short term care and long term care. During this time, my husband and I got to know the Second Floor Staff, from Administration to Housekeeping very well, and were very pleased with the care they provided Dad. They were always present to keep us informed of his daily condition, and were always attentive to his needs, as well as addressing any concerns/questions we had, in a timely and thoughtful manner. If his condition/medications changed in any way, we were notified either in person or via telephone calls. Dad was bedridden, and as a result he required extensive personal care. His daily needs, which were met on a timely basis, included extensive hygiene care, wound care, memory care, and medications. All staff were very caring and took the time to talk and listen to our Dad and his life stories, which was so appreciated. PT staff continued visits with Dad even after PT ended. Dad was checked in on routinely to assure safety protocols were being met. His room was thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis, and the food was excellent, adjusting his diet to his personal preferences. We had personalized Care Plan meetings, with family input. We highly recommend Autumn Lake at Birch Manor for your loved one. Vicki & Michael Collett
