CHECK YOUR FAMILY!!<br><br>Call lights not plugged in. What happens when someone needs help, pushes their call light, just to have it not plugged in because no one bothers to check. No basic knowledge to make sure all is well with the resident. Isn't this a safety violation?<br><br>Had an issue at 2pm today regarding an aide who decided that mom didn't need a toiletry change because she had just gotten her up, decided to go on a 30b minute break, get mom's roommate, change her, argue with me, ignore and talk over me, THEN address mom. 45 minutes later. I never screamed at this girl, but because she didn't think we had a issue, she decided to punish mom. The ppl running this place are trying, but it's not enough. These kids need to remember if they're lucky, they'll get old one day as well, and I pray to GOD, karma vibes back to them. You don't treat the elderly like hell.<br><br>They also constantly leave dirty items and empty bottles in the bathroom, despite a sign being on the wall REMINDING them to throw trash away.<br><br>If your loved one needs to be here and they're in the general nursing home population, CHECK ON THEM. BE THEIR VOICE.

Staff was not versed in understanding Medical power of attorney rights of spouse of resident. When going to bimonthly health care plans for my wife, I was told I could not plan to bring my spouse home due to wording of medical power of attorney in her trust. After contacting an attorney it was determined that I did have the right to remove my wife from the facility without consent of my daughter who was improperly listed as a co-MPOA. I was assured that this facility would give the best care possible for my wife. I found that exaggerated. The CARE t-shirts the aids wore were missing the C which stood for compassion. I found a private in home nursing service which was so much more professional for the final 21 days my wife lived. I was as able to be with her on her final journey, giving her the dignity she deserved. I mean no disrespect for the good personal on staff, but to often a temporary service filled in for the regular staff, knowing nothing about the condition and needs is of the residents.
