To the staff at Regency I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the excellent care my God mother received while she was there. Pearlie Mae was a resident at the facility for 6 years until her recent passing. The entire staff was friendly, compassionate and respectful. I would like to give a special mention to Barbara George and Ki. I could always count on them to help me out with Pearlie needs. The nurses, food service, house keeping, front office and maintenance everyone was amazing. I also was very pleased with the cleanest of the building. I would definitely recommend Regency to anyone in need of a nursing home or rehabilitation facility. Thank you Margwyn Dyer

If you’re looking for honest reviews on this place you won’t find it here, they delete their bad reviews to make it seem like this is a four star facility. This place is literal hell on earth so unless you want your family neglected daily… RUN. The care they have for the residents is NONE from housekeeping all the way to upper “management”. These residents will go days soiled, the CNA’s will tell you they changed the resident but when they’re in white pants for three days with a very visible urine stain that’s not CHANGED. The med passers will run on their break before finishing med passes leaving residents sitting two or more hours passed their med times. When you ask the nurses and CNA’s to change residents you get attitude, ignored or cussed out and then when you reciprocate that energy you’re the problem not them. They allowed a nurse to come to my person vehicle on my break in a threatening manner looking in my vehicle and didn’t address it. They allowed people to refer to me as “that little white girl” but never corrected it. I let Bronwyn know multiple times about the neglect I was seeing in the facility (like I was told to do) and she never reported it to upper “management” and it all got put back on me because they don’t know what accountability is. There is a resident that has a complete matted mess of their hair because the CNA’s refuse to do proper care as simple are combing hair. You should watch where you step cause they allowed human feces to sit on the floor as well as a room floor so sticky with URINE your shoes could come off nearly stepping on their floor. They leave bed pans of urine sitting around, they do not keep up the hygiene of teeth or nails, their nails get so caked with food, dirt etc. that I would gag cleaning their nails. Residents complain constantly about how disgusting the food and facility itself is, the CNA’s attitudes towards them, not receiving proper care, management sucks. There’s been multiple reports for theft of funds from residents, as soon as I began advocating for your family members I became a “problem” I have soooo many more things I could blast this place for but my main goal is to let everyone know this place is horrible your family members deserve better than being stolen from, lied to, taken advantage of, called out of their names by staff, and neglected. They say their goal is to rehabilitate residents but they just leave 95% of residents in bed all day. Residents are there and insurance is denying PT so they’re just taking rent from people that don’t even need to be there and possibly need to be moved to another facility!!

My husband was in there for rehab, he has Dementia an other medical problems. Regency was not My first choice,I preferred Woodardhills in bloomfieldhills,but they didn't have any openings at the time,Regency staff is lazy, I didn't feel like they gave my husband the full potential therapy in physical therapy that was needed, If I wanted him a nursing home just to lay in bed allday to watch TV he could have just stayed home.Most of the time the staff stayed standing around the nursing station my husband was discharge today. We didn't realize till we got him the car,they forgot to take his band off his ankle. I went back in to the lobby to let the young lady to call the nurse station nobody answered the phone I go around the corner to nursing station to let them know,there just standing there an didn't answer the phone so I had to walk all the way back to the nursing station to send someone down to come outside to take it off his ankle. I have medical problems myself but I had brought family with me to help my husband get in to car to take him home. The nursing profession has changed.i come from a line of nurses in my family the toilet was always clogged the attitude of some staff members are just there for a paycheck, no compassion.

Outstanding staff, from the greeter at the front desk to the nurses, PT, Director, social workers, and food staff. All took great care of our Uncle, especially his main nurse, Ann. Very clean.

My sister Marie has been a resident at Regency Nursing Center for the last two months. We are very pleased with her care on a daily basis. Ann, her nurse, has really stood out as a very caring professional. The rest of the staff we have interacted with also receives kudos for a job well done.
