My husband was in memory care at Emerald Crest from November until his death in July. I just want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Emerald Crest Minnetonka. He was well taken care of by all of the staff. Greg’s progression of the disease was very fast and you all helped make a very difficult time in our life bearable. You were all so professional, kind and compassionate and each of you brought your own unique personality and strengths to the job. Greg was so lucky to have all of you taking care of him at a time I could not. My life has been forever changed by this experience, and you all brought some joy to this change. My life has been enriched by the experience of watching you all do your job in such a kind and caring way.

My mom spent her last 5 months here. I couldn't have found a better place for her. They treated her with respect and dignity beyond any expectations. I was always welcomed there when I went to visit. The staff made me feel like family there. After my mom passed away, I continued going there to volunteer and attend church services. The pastor, Arlen, is so involved with the residents. He is so loving and compassionate with all the residents. I would still be going if I lived closer.<br>I would highly recommend Emerald Crest Minnetonka to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and loving place for their loved ones. I can only hope that if I ever need memory care, I would be able to go there!

Emerald Crest Memory Care is like a prison for the elderly. My relative starved themselves to death at this facility because they were so depressed and had no control over their life.<br>Another family member put my relative there against their will, greatly exaggerating memory problems. My relative wanted in-home care, which they could afford, but the family member that has power of attorney didn't want funds drained because they would not get any money if it were spent on caregiving.<br>My relative had no way to call out to talk to people. After 2 months, family put a phone in that my relative didn't even know how to use.<br>Other elderly people in the facility would come into my relatives room, trying to take things and who knows what else they did. Staff didn't keep an eye on everyone.<br>Because my relative was so depressed being in the facility, they lost their appetite. They got so weak that they couldn't eat without assistance. Staff would push a tray of food into the room, leave it near the bed, and leave the room, not helping my relative eat or drink. My relative lost their will to live because the person they trusted to make good decisions for them just wanted to put them away. Of course they benefited monetarily from doing so.<br>The facility is understaffed, and the manager is heartless. People are locked in the building. As a visitor f you want to get out, you can't without assistance from staff. You are locked in!

Emerald Crest Minnetonka has been such a wonderful placement for my mom. I had to select a memory care home in the height of COVID-19, and was only able to tour via a video walk around so I had some reservations, but once mom arrived and ever since then, I have been grateful to ECM, and all its services and care.<br><br>Everyone has been welcoming and so caring, l am very content that Mom is surrounded by folks that take great care of her and respond to our needs quickly and professionally. Many thanks to all who support families of the ECM community.

We had a horrible experience here. The staff was hard to find for assistance throughout the day. My sister stayed with mom most days since we feared for her safety. On a day my sister couldn't be there, my mother had to go to the bathroom, and could not get assistance. She tried to walk, fell and hit her head and died within a week. She had a friend visit and was stuck in the building for 15 minutes before she could find a staff member to let her out since the doors are locked. Food was said to be chef prepared, but came out of bulk containers and mom found most meals not suitable to eat. Many bologna sandwiches were served. Only 2 people were on staff most of the time at her house. So sadly disappointed. The concept sounded great, but not what was delivered.
