I can highly recommend Emerald Crest in Burnsville for your loved one with any stage of dementia or memory loss. They have five houses that care for the different stages needed for these residents. Their personal care is managed by licensed nurses and delivered by top-notch, compassionate caregivers. Each one-level house is set up like a home, with residents having their own bedroom, and they are all encouraged to spend time in the living area, dining room, and fenced-in backyard and patio area. The entire experience is like having another family. The staff truly cares about the residents and their families, and it shows. They provide spiritual care for everyone, and the chaplain, Arlen Solem, is phenomenal! He is excellent at engaging all residents, and his various encounters with them are posted in a private Facebook account, so families can keep up with their loved ones. There are various service packages available depending upon the need of your loved one, including a hair stylist who comes once a week to cut and style the residents' hair as requested. My mom recently passed away, and I still miss the wonderful staff that cared for her.
