Positives:<br>The OT & PT were wonderful. Most of the nurses, aides and housekeepers were very kind. The second star is for them. I actually enjoyed therapy.<br>Negatives:<br>They were not prepared for my check-in. I require 24/7 oxygen. I had to wait an hour for oxygen. They had to order portable oxygen and never did. The physical therapist ran in to the oxygen guy an over a week into my stay and made it happen.<br><br>The food was terrible. My family brought me meals. The food was cheap and of low quality. Nothing was seasoned and it was slopped on the plate. Meal times were supposed to be 7:30, noon, and 5:30. Most meals were delivered 45 to 60 minutes late.<br><br>There were exposed wires in the room.<br><br>I was there 13 days in May. I received at bill dated June 1 for 32 days. It was $16,000 for the last 2 days of May and June 1 to June 30. I called and asked how it was possible to bill for a full month that hadn’t happened yet. The response was they contacted my insurance company several times and they hadn’t paid. I find it unreasonable to expect payment within 3 days of discharge. I may amend my review as it appears they charged twice the cost of the stated room rate. Stay tuned.

Omgoodness, I just read an article about a patient here dying! Due to a serious overdose of methadone for pain. Incorrect dose due to negligent transcription by the nursing staff. I was transfered there after surgery on my leg. I fell at home, and broke both bones in my R lower leg. This turned into a year long saga, that may not be over yet. Ive had four surgeries so far. After one of the operations at N Memorial, I ended up at the Villas at Brookview. I slept from when I arrived until the next morning. The bed was like one you'd find in a jail call: basic platform made of metal, with a mattress wrapped in old plastic, and about 2 inches think. Quite sparse and uncomfortable, to say the least. But what really got me mad, and was completely unprofessional, was the nurse giving me the wrong dose of hydromorphone! Fortunately,it was not a major overdose, as in the case I mentioned, but she gave me only HALF of the dose that was prescribed for me. Right after the third surgery on my leg, which throbbed, but I also take 4 MG of hydromorphone three times daily for my back, where two of my lumbar vertebrae have disintegrated. And the pin in my L1 has migrated at an angle up into my T12. I am disabled, and in constant pain due to a lumbar fusion gone wrong due to my having gone ahead with the fusion, but unaware that I'd developed osteoporosis. Currently, my L1 and L4 have basically disintegrated. I depend on the opioid to be able to stand and walk, which are quite painful. The.nurse had 2mg tabs for me, so my regular dose would be two tabs. She only gave me one tab. I said something. She said, ill check, then stepped out the door. Ten seconds later, she came back, and said one tablet was the full dose. But I knew she was wrong and lying. I called my family to come and pick me up, and I left. Interestingly, they gave me a list of my medications, and the only hydromorphone tabs on the list were the 2mg strength. So I should have been given two tablets per dose. The NURSE LIED AND ONLY GAVE ME HALF OF THE DOSE THAT WAS PRESCRIBED, AND I WAS LEFT TO WRITHE IN PAIN. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL ERROR, AND COMMUNICATION. I LEFT. AND LEAVING WAS "AGAINST MEDICAL ADVICE, WHICH SHOWS ME TO BE NOT COMPLIANT WITH MEDICAL ORDERS IN MY CHART, AND MAY MAKE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS PERCEIVE ME AS DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IN A DARK, DEPRESSING ROOM. BUT A CLINICAL ERROR THAT DROVE ME OUT OF THERE.

This is where my wife is currently staying. She's been here since October 2025. They have staffing issues, but what nursing home doesn't. Their cost for residents isn't cheap, but on the lower end expense in comparison to other facilities. They are ok for now.

Very frustrated at the lack of communication. No one returns phone calls. My mother in law complained of being roughly handled and one staff member started quizzing her on "how she got so rich?' How would they know how much money she has?? Today my mil was walking around in wet pants. This is care??
