I have had the opportunity to see the level of care provided here, and I am truly impressed. The nursing staff are incredibly compassionate, attentive, and dedicated to the well-being of every resident. It’s clear that they take the time to listen, respond quickly to needs, and treat each person with dignity and respect.

“Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” - Please take a moment to read this! You won’t regret it, if YOU, too, are looking for a new ‘home’ or TCU for your loved one. We received the news that our mom needed to find a ‘new home’ because her dementia was causing ‘behaviors’ that were tough for the prior memory care facility to accommodate. While we were looking for a new place, mom had unfortunately broken her arm, which led to a hospital stay. Remarkably, Methodist Hospital’s psychiatric team took FOUR days to balance the medications our mom was on (the prior care team had been trying for about NINE months to ATTEMPT to do so), so her ‘behaviors’ were now almost NON EXISTENT, allowing her to become more of a rational, functional being. We were so thankful. Unfortunately, ‘her record’ was tarnished by prior incidents, leading us to LIMITED options for a TCU. We were told that The Estates at St. Louis Park is considering mom for admittance, so I headed there to check things out. I soon realized that the only place ‘willing’ to accommodate our mom, given her ‘behavior record’ was...The Estates at St. Louis Park. I looked it up online, read some reviews, and with literal worry and sadness, based on reviews and photos, headed to The Estates to check it out. On my way to the Estates, I called to let them know I was coming and hoped to tour the facility. I was forwarded to the person in charge, and reached the sweetest, reassuring voice, God could have given me…CLAIRE! This was quite literally a ‘God wink’ as I know Claire AND her family, from a prior neighborhood we lived in. I recall her mom saying “Claire LOVES her job!” THIS. THIS was PART of the encouragement I needed. A personal touch! This maybe wouldn’t have impacted ANYONE else the same way, because you didn’t know this person…but for me…it gave me HOPE. But, it gets better! My mom moved into the Estates memory care floor. She was welcomed by many, but Teddy did the intake. He was GREAT, and handled mom with care! He went through procedures to ensure the condition mom arrived in, and what may require immediate attention. The facility was not aesthetically appealing - it could use a fresh coat of paint, and some 'sweat labor,' some of the hallways smelled (from the current clientele), in general…it was run down. It was a far cry from where our mom had lived prior - where it was PRETTY, and newer, and had many bells and whistles. I was nervous to put my mom in this facility, even though it was likely for only a few weeks. I am writing this to tell you…the memory care floor of The Estates is AMAZING! The staff was attentive (literally IMMEDIATELY attentive to any question or item of attention we required). They met with us to update on how Rose was progressing (Molly the Director, and the nurse, Rita, as well as the OT, Matt). They listened to us and informed us. These are all things to be expected, but…in the fancy, newer home mom had been in before…we did not witness them meeting the need(s) of our mom, as personally nor as attentively on a one-on-one basis. Would I wish my loved one to stay in a facility that is ‘not pretty and lacks lustre, and posts poor reviews?’ No. Would I hope for my loved one to stay in a facility where the staff SHOWS that they care, where they meet my mom’s physical needs, where they provide dignity to my loved one and they are attentive to any question we bring their way? Absolutely. THIS is what we saw at The Estates at St. Louis Park. Folks are quick to share negative reviews. I hope this helps YOU in your decision. We quite literally saw The Estates at St. Louis Park as a safe place for our mom, during a season where no one else welcomed her, her needs were met, and our family was relieved that mom had a safe and attentive environment to call home during this transition. I give The Estates FIVE STARS based on the CARE RECEIVED...not the beauty of the facility. THIS meant more to us than any pretty building. Thank you, "Team Estates!"

The nursing care here is truly exceptional. The staff are compassionate, patient, and consistently go above and beyond to ensure every detail is handled with care. They create a warm and supportive environment where their dedication to patients is clearly felt. The facility is clean, well-organized, and communication with families is outstanding. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking high-quality, compassionate nursing care.

How is it that my mother is always getting her belongings stolen. This has been happening since she moved in. For the holidays our family got her all new clothing and other things and we keep seeing these things disappear. We even write her name on the clothes to make it easier to get sorted. Last time we even marked her clothes in front of the director and they still went missing. Right now her closet is empty. Every time we see her she’s in the same clothes which appear to be dirty. Now reading through the other comments in google on this place I’m questioning how this place is even open. Our family is devastated this keeps happening and not sure what our next steps will be.

I came here almost 2 years ago. I was a little unsure and scared, but the staff and other residents helped me feel welcome and at home. I recommend people to come here if they are every in need of care. I want to thank the administrator for always listening and following through for her residents.
