My Son and I visited my Aunt on Sunday. We couldn’t believe how bad this place is!

When we first arrived, there were two people at the furthest desk, talking. They didn’t bother acknowledging us at all. We had to go stand right in front of them to finally be acknowledged.
When I told them we were there to see my aunt (gave them her name), the female didn’t even know who she was and asked twice for who???
I told them my aunt’s room number and the male said, oh yeah, she’s down that way- and pointed to the hallway where her room would be. Didn’t bother to escort us there, or give any type of name tags, badges, etc.
to us.

My aunt is a fall risk. She told us that she had to wait for over an hour when she put her nurse call button on!
She also needed more toilet paper and sanitary pads. After waiting over an hour, a nurse came to tell her they were out of toilet paper and couldn’t find any sanitary pads! And then left right away! Didn’t tell my aunt that they would try to get some or. Anything.

What kind of facility such as this, would do that? This is totally wrong and unacceptable!

I happen to use the restroom in my aunt’s room and was disgusted. The floor in there looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or mopped for days. There was debri on the floor that should have been cleaned up. There was a medical glove laying on the floor. And the garbage can was plump full.

I have seen rest stop bathrooms cleaner than this one!!

This place and the workers need to be investigated! It’s totally unacceptable to be running a medical rehab facility under these conditions.
Sad, very sad.

When we got to the front desk and asked for my great aunts name, the female nurse and the male nurse had no idea who we were talking about.

When we finally got to my great Aunt's room she told me and my mom that the nurse took over an hour and a half to acknowledge my great aunts call Light.

When my mom use the restroom in my great aunts room, she told me that it was dirty and the garbage was completly full. they do not even clean the patients rooms AT ALL.

DO NOT SEND FAMILY MEMBERS HERE!!!

not to mention, my great Aunt is a fall risk, and I will be reporting this facility and any other facilities to the Minnesota adult protective services!!!

as a former nursing aid for Mayo Clinic, this is Unbelievably unacceptable!!!

My family visited my dad every day. On our last visit, he was pale, much less alert, and staring blankly at the wall. We asked the nursing staff to check on him, but despite his high blood pressure, our concerns were not taken seriously. Instead of the staff calling 911, my mom had to make the emergency call herself for my dad.

At the hospital, doctors found he was severely dehydrated, had a fever, was bleeding internally, had liver and kidney failure requiring dialysis, needed a tracheostomy, and had developed a pressure ulcer.

After everything my father went through, he has since passed away. Our family is heartbroken.

My father was supposed to receive OT, PT, and speech therapy after his stroke, but he left Maplewood Rehab in much worse condition than when he arrived. Our family is very disappointed with the care he received.

I want to give this a -100,000 review. After 6 months of suffering, my father took his own life.

Before I point out a few negative things I would like to say there are some people at this facility that were kind, considerate and respectful! There were others that just wanted to collect a paycheck, they did not care for the people in their care unless they knew someone was watching them. I went to this site everyday for 2 months while my father was in hospice. They rarely cleaned the floor to the point I complained to management, management made excuses instead of addressing the issue. I witnessed a woman fall out of her chair and land on her face, they picked her up and put her at the table for dinner. I now know such a fall would be called a trauma silver and someone should of done a full head to toe inspection of her body, they did nothing while the woman cried while trying to eat. Many meals barely had any protein on the plate and most meals were cold. There were other issues.
