This place is not the greatest to keep your loved ones or work there. They lie on you to look better. The people are shady. They leave peoples rooms dirty and leave them dirty while sitting down watching them in the t.v. room. You cant get a nurse for dinner time in the evening. When there should be two aids and nurse. No one wants to keep a eye on the wonder guard Patient. So alot of people that work there that don't have time with there job to stop, while a nurse just walks by like nothing happens, and it's there patient. You still get yelled at for there stupidity. The higher ups need to work on their Communication. It would make everything better. The only ones that are making it better are Social services, Nancy, Lucille. But Nancy also dose a great job with admissions. At least she Communicats with you. And is upfront with you at all times. Nancy lets you know things up front.Kathy is amazing receptionist, always saving the day. She needs a big raise. She helps with everyone's jobs, Always doing Haileys job. When you see this lady, make sure you thank her. If it wasn't for her, nothing would be done. Nothing seems to be cleaned up right here, some housekeeper clean with dirty water. You cant tell them to change the wAter, cause they look at you werid. Nurses on day shift are super lazy. Never wants to help with anything. Day time aids do everything. Belinda in Business is rude to family members and needs to speak better to families who have questions about their bill. The kind of person who takes it to far with her Attitude. Kelsey was the only person who treated family members with respect and was kind to others. The only people that help you in this building is Tina, Nancy, Lucille,YAYA,Apple,Melissa,Emma and sweet Michelle.Make sure you give them a big Thank you for all their hard work. They have done. I will never again tell people this place is great, cause it's not. My grandma was dropped three times and her heart was bad. I know that's what killed her. Maybe have two aides help with bigger people or three. And the administrator, what's the point he wont get back with you. You have to make a appointment for him to even see you.He don't ever want to talk to help out with anything, he just push it to the side.Same with family member who want to talk. If he doesn't want to talk to family members, then he's not going to have time to talk with employees who have questions. He's Just going to push you off to Hailey the admission, and she's not going to deal with it, she will just blame for whatever she feels so she don't have to deal with you anymore. Then she drags in other higher up coworkers to lie so they can cover it up. They need new people who really cares. HR goes along with everything there. Maybe hear what other people have to say.

I’ve been on the fence about posting but I don’t want someone else to have to encounter what we did. This facility is a walking healthcare violation. My dad was here for a short period of time and thank God because they would have killed him. I overheard some of the aides or nurses about having bedbugs in this facility and how it was multiple rooms, when I asked I was told the administrator would come speak with me but he ended up being too busy to do so. The administrator obviously does not care about the residents or families in this building enough to follow up. My dad also had pain medicine that was not given when it was supposed to be given, the staff seems negligent and I was always told he got it before I arrived. They are not keeping up with it or maybe keeping it for themselves or another patient. Not to mention I could always smell a weed smell in the hallway as well. This facility is terrible it deserves to have a negative star review. There happened to be multiple times when I did come in and had to get my father cleaned up because his bedsheets were wet and his call light would be flashing and all I was ever told is how short staff they were. Maybe the management staff needed to help the staff actually taking care of the patients or hire more people to properly care for the patients. As I was leaving one day I had seen two employees screaming in the office near the front door leading outside. How does that make anyone feel welcome or seem approachable to family members to ask questions. This place is a complete train wreck and if you want your dad or mom to have good care then don’t send them to this hell. They will not get the proper care or treatment they need and you will never have any answers either. This place should be condemned.

We were very lucky to find The Laurels of West Columbus. The staff was wonderful to my cousin for the last five months of her life -- caring, kind and professional.

Do not allow anyone to tell you otherwise - this place is terrible. It should be a crime to treat families like they do. The only thing they do well is hide from you so you can’t ask questions. If you complain, they apologize but nothing changes. My father was there for just short of a month. We pulled him out because the aides wouldn’t help him. If we didn’t visit, he was left to his own devices. They failed to give him meds often. He had a heart surgery cancelled because they failed to document his meds correctly. They also missed several of his doctor appointments because of their inability to plan/communicate transportation. A nurse is in charge of all the medical stuff. A doctor checks the patients periodically, but there’s no schedule as he presides over several nursing homes. If you’re not in the room when he comes, you will not be able to talk to him. When cleaning Dad’s room, we found meds on the floor twice. Do not be fooled by the pleasant appearance of the campus. This is a new facility, and just looking at it you would think that it’s awesome. PLEASE LISTEN: do not allow your loved one to go here. RIP Dad 10/17/25

Very happy with this facility. The staff is wonderful from social services (Lucille) to housekeeping and food service( food is good). The following day shift staff are awesome - Cheryl, Suad, Charla, Sierra, Alisa, Brittney, Orlando and Shelly. I hope I did miss anyone as all first shift staff are great!
