My name is Cindy Compton. I would like to share the experience our family had at London Health and Rehab Center.
My mother, Lucille Filey was in need of a place to go after her stay in the hospital. My husband Danny had an aunt staying at London Health and Rehab center as long term. We were frequently visiting and noticed the care his aunt, Louise Brown received. The activity staff was out of this world. Along with the nurses and administrators. It was easy to place my mom there. I had no worries that she would be taken care of.
A little about my mom. Before she became ill she never was a happy person due to her living arrangements. That all changed once she became a resident of London Health and Rehab Center.
My mom loved it there but due to Medicare/Medicaid we had to move her. So Madison House came in and evaluated her and said she would fit right in as an independent resident. So I took their word for it. Once she was in the Madison House and the fee was paid things begin to change for the worse. She never received the care they told us she would receive. There were no activities to speak of. When I would go to visit she was always in her room. There were some residents in the common area watching TV. That was it.
But the worst was when mom was exposed to COVID. They quarantined to her room told her she couldn’t come out so she didn’t. She called me early on Sunday morning telling me she was hungry. So I rushed over to take her something to eat I found out by one of the staff that she did eat but I really think they lied. That was it. I started the process to have her removed. When I ask where she wanted to go she wanted to go back to be with her friends at London Health and Rehab Center. By the grace of God and a fantastic staff at London Health and Rehab we were able to get her back in as long term!!
Immediately Mom became so happy and comfortable. She started calling it home. She was loved and she felt it.
She became Louise Brown’s roommate. They had a good time
Tiffany and her staff were a God sent. They had all different kinds of activities such as Bingo, crafts, coffee bars, cooking classes, field trips live music. I know I am missing some of the activities but the patients were always busy and entertained. There were times I would come in to visit and mom would say, “Oh honey you don’t need to stay I have and she would go on and on about the plans for the day. I knew then she was happy and was cared for like you would want your parents cared for.
My Mother passed away on May 13, 2025. In her last year she was happy and felt loved and valued.
Then Tiffany went above and beyond putting together a celebration of life for mom. She and her team put together a video of my mom and all her friends were in it. The entire center was invited and had snacks and talked about my mom. Looking down I know she loved it and I am so happy we were able to let her be happy in her last days.
So in closing, if I am asked where someone could place a loved one who needs care my answer will be London Health and Rehab.

Thank you for letting me share

I attended the Crazy Train Ozzy tribute group at Veterans Park in Springfield, OH. Also attending were a group from the London Health and Rehab facility in nearby London, OH. The staff were very engaged with the clients they had brought to the show, encouraging them to clap and head bang where possible. It was so heart warming to see these health challenged people enjoying the music of their youth. Kudos to the staff for everything they do to keep these people young at heart.

My mother, Marsha, was at this facility for a few days before she passed away unexpectedly at the end of August. Although she was given a prognosis of six months to live, God had different plans for her, he took her sooner than expected. My sister and I were by her side continuously during her hospital stays and during her time here. Along with hospice, the staff here were compassionate, delivering excellent care and support to both her and us. One nurse, nicknamed Squirrel, exemplified so much kindness towards my mom. She was gentle and attentive, treating my mother with dignity! Thank you to the staff at London Health and Rehab for your care and support!

This place is awful! Rooms are filthy. The beds are more like a cot. Black mold on the pipes behind the curtains. Insurance companies really need to start checking places out before sending payments! The place needs torn down and rebuilt. It's extremely depressing. I feel bad for anyone that has to stay there.
