• 2025Q2 After six wonderful years, my mom has had to move out of Chapel Oaks. The treatment we received during the move-out process, particularly from the Chapel Oaks director, was above excellent and in line with the overall Chapel Oaks experience. My mother was sad to leave but will keep for years to come the many precious relationships she established in the community. A sincere thank you to everyone at Chapel Oaks!
• 2024Q2 New patio, garden, landscaping lights, planters in now makes for 4 seating areas with fountain and fireplace where you can have after dinner coffee and dessert with your loved ones.
• 2024Q1 Still a great place in all respects. I appreciate how management reopened the lobbies to make an efficient comeback from covid restrictions.
• 2020Q1 C.O. (Chapel Oaks) is like a really, really nice hotel. They've already done a ton of spring groundskeeping. They keep up on maintenance but there's never a maintenance presence. It's like a city that keeps getting shined-up, but you never see the cranes or the street crews. At the same time, maintenance are readily available while also being consistently friendly and helpful. My parents picked a good place.

Update: My parents have been here 6 months now and really like it! First class place -- perfect for my parents. And I just heard their ad on WYSL -- another good reason to recommend C.O.

Update (7.5 mos): One of my parents had to be hospitalized for surgery. The community of residents and the entire staff, esp Tim & Dave in Maintenance who are like my brothers, were uniformly and genuinely supportive and concerned; a great help as my other parent traveled back and forth to the hospital, which quite fortunately is directly across the street. Furthermore, when discharged to St. Anns' excellent rehab facility (superb 9th floor sunsets that remind my parents of their weekend place on the cliffside shores of Lake Ontario), access from Chapel Oaks is on the same campus grounds. It's also right next to the church my parents go to for services. It's such a benefit to have all this collocated when needed and a blessing to have the emotional and spiritual support.

Update (1.2 yrs): I think C.O. and St. Anns overall has done great by my parents, through regular life, sickness and COVID-19. I am so glad they are there to weather the corona virus because I cannot imagine how they would have fared had they stayed in their home.

Chapel Oaks was among the first organizations I knew of in New York State to apply appropriately tight controls for the residents and staff. I told my 80-something parents that their island of safety might make them the only ones left after the pandemic and so Dad has to be nice to Mom because it will fall to them to repopulate the earth.

My father lives there and the place is beautiful. Staff seems nice but as far as I know the services are like a la carte like you have to pay for meals and individualized care. I just wish it was more inclusive to make it easier and simple. It all works out as I understand every individual has different needs and levels of care

We toured Chapel Oaks and found it to be an exciting possibility for the future. The luncheon that was offered was exceptional. The tour guide was knowledgeable. Financial models were included in the package provided.
