The community describes itself as staffed by caring people who aim to become an extension of residents' families, helping them find answers, solutions, and peace of mind.

Short-Term Rehabilitation is designed for individuals recovering from strokes, cardiovascular issues, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating conditions, with the goal of helping residents return home safely after hospitalization. The person-centered program includes physical, occupational, and speech/language therapies, supported by an interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, therapists, and social workers. Within the first 72 hours of admission, the Road to Recovery program brings together the care team, patient, and family to map out discharge goals. Additional services include wound care, fall prevention, contracture management, wheelchair positioning, mobility training, and strength-building wellness and aerobic conditioning programs.

Long-Term Care is available for residents who can no longer manage daily tasks independently due to illness, injury, or frailty. This care is provided under the guidance of an attending physician by licensed nurses and specially trained health care aides, and includes social services, activities, and therapy services aimed at helping residents maintain the highest level of independence possible. The community describes its settings as home-like, cheerful, soothing, and secure.

Respite Care offers short-term stays for seniors, giving family caregivers a break to travel, start a new job, recover from illness, or pursue other interests. The community assesses each respite guest's needs and provides an appropriate level of care, with the option to extend care if a short stay requires it.

Hospice and palliative care services focus on comfort, pain relief, and support for residents facing terminal illness, along with meeting emotional and spiritual needs. Through partnerships with local hospice companies, the community offers skilled nursing care, respite care, spiritual and bereavement counseling, medical equipment and supplies, social services, and pharmacy services, delivered by an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, aides, volunteers, social workers, and clergy.

Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation accepts private pay along with a variety of payment options, including Medicaid for qualified applicants, and offers assistance from Medicaid specialists to help families through the application process.

The genuine/authentic care that is demonstrated within this facility is a by product of the incredible leadership team at Cardinal Nursing and Rehab. The staff within this building are always so welcoming and engaging. They go out of their way to advocate for the appropriate next steps of each resident they care for. I couldn’t recommend this community enough.

Carol Russell the Director of Marketing comes to our building and does blood pressure checks twice a month. She is always caring, helpful with questions the residents have about Cardinal Nursing, insurance questions pertaining to a rehab stay, and she keeps track of the B/P so the resident knows if it unusually elevated. We have had residents who have gone there for rehab who stated their time there was comfortable, friendly, and helpful staff as well as clean and well kept. They felt their recovery went well and that the rehab team was helpful and caring as well helping them recovery in a timely manner so they could return home. Recommended when you have nursing home or rehab needs.
