Our experience at Aperion Oak Lawn has been good. The staff is attentive to my husband's needs. They keep him clean and the food is tasty. Shout out to Amber, mds/care plan administrator who answered all of my questions, Anna Harris, Pt director who went above and beyond to assure my husband had rehab. We also acknowledge the great nursing CNA, and housekeeping staff. The facility is kept veey clean.

This place is completely disorganized and ran with no direction. Even a circus can top how it’s established more than Aperion Care Oak Lawn can. The cna’s avoid helping people and run off the moment work is expected of them. The place smells like urine, and it’s pungent. The residents are hardly being taken care of. I wouldn’t even send my worst enemy here.

I know caring for the vulnerable, especially the elderly isn't always easy but it's needed. I took my elderly Mom to see her elderly brother at the Nursing home. To my surprise they were nice and accommodating to us as visitors. However, when I spoke with my uncle and asked him how he was being treated he said "they want me to do everything but they want do anything for me". Now, I know he it's very lucid at times, but he understands kindness. I was there for a short visit and he said thank you for being kind. Now it maybe easy for me to shower him with so much kindness because I'm not always there, but I beseech those of you who are please be kind. What you do is so important and under appreciated, I get it. I think we as a society really need to do better thanking all of those caring for the elderly and infirm. I truly hope you all continue to be a little nicer and show more grace to those most vulnerable in the world, our elderly. What you do is so important and if no hasn't told you lately...thank you.
