My family member stayed at this facility for rehab. The admissions director was very helpful and super knowledgeable. She called and allowed us to tour before my cousin was admitted. The room was nice and clean and met our expectations. Will recommend to anyone needing to place their family member in a nursing home

Nurses are mean. They don’t have no snacks all they have to drink is water. Hospital Food Is better than the food here.. trying switch asap

Only here because University Hospital sent me here. Told them to send me some where nice…smh Its cool cuz I been in worse places like shelters and jail/county my only complaint fr is the snacks suck ssa and the nurses are nice but they amnesia cuz forget a lot of things.

This place is a joke I was there for rehab never got rehab never saw a doctor the staff is unprofessional they talk to residents crazy I start rehabbing myself I wouldn’t send my love one I’m also an aide myself and when I say this all these facilities just hire anybody I had a nurse I had at a different facility the same reason I got into with her at the other facility I got into at this facility as well and I don’t understand how I tell the DON MY PROBLEMS ACT LIKE U CARE NOTHING WAS DONE THIS NURSE EVEN TALKED ABOUT ME TO ANOTHER STAFF OUTSIDE MY DOOR yes I said something these places not use to people able to speak up for themselves and when they do they treat u like your problematic they wasn’t giving me my meds that very important it took for my doctor to call up there so much I can say bout this place but I already took it to the next steps I wouldn’t recommend putting my love one here

​Please, by all means, do your research. When looking into potential placements for your loved one, do not rely solely on online ratings or marketing to make your decision. Take a personal tour of the actual facility, ask hard questions and pay close attention to cleanliness, the condition of the durable medical equipment (DME) used to care for your loved one, watch for potential safety issues and the appearance of the residents.<br>Most importantly, trust your own intuition and closely watch your loved one's overall affect and demeanor. If you notice a red flag—even if it seems like a one-off incident—do not ignore it.<br>​I have to say that I was initially hopeful despite having some reservations. My ultimate goal was simply to ensure that my loved one's basic needs were being met.<br>However, shortly after they arrived, it became glaringly clear that this facility suffers from a major lack of frontline staff and an overwhelming amount of disconnected upper management. The Director of Nursing (DON) reminded me of the Wizard of Oz—someone who stays hidden behind a curtain where you never actually see them, yet they are supposedly the one in charge and running things.<br>​The facility was severely understaffed. When I asked about the patient-to-staff ratio—which was one aide to 13 or 14 patients—I was advised that the corporate office set the parameters, claiming they are only required to assign one aide per hallway.<br>I totally disagree with this policy; it represents bare-minimum care at best.<br>​Because of this neglect, my loved one was routinely allowed to sit for hours on end soiled, unable to ask for help. On multiple occasions, I came to visit randomly and at different times of the day only to find their room door completely closed and them left partially dressed in bed.<br>It was incredibly alarming to wonder how long they had been lying there completely unattended without any assistance.<br>​Furthermore, whenever I tried to call the facility to receive an update on how my loved one was doing, it was to no avail, there was almost never anyone stationed at the nurses' desk to answer the phone. Yet, ironically, whenever I would arrive in person to visit, there would often be a huddle of employees standing around chatting with each other about nothing.<br>​After repeatedly leaving communicating my concerns and detailing my loved one's specific needs, I decided early on to make arrangements to move the from The Willows.<br>They are now at another facility where they are absolutely thriving.<br>​Hold these facilities accountable. DO NOT minimize your concerns, do not accept their endless excuses, and never forget that you are an advocate and your loved one's voice.<br>People (not everyone) in this industry can become incredibly complacent and cavalier, but you should never excuse behavior that jeopardizes your loved one's well-being,safety, care or health.<br><br>Dawn~
