My father is at story cottages and I can’t say enough good things about them. The staff is amazing! Responsive and tries to work together on issues. My father has actually gained some weight back because he loves the food so much. My mom feels better when she goes as well because it looks more like a home. Great decision!

Story Cottage has been a big help to us as my dad has become unable to live on his own. The caregivers there have gotten to know him, are kind, and really seem to enjoy all the residents there. I am grateful for a place that feels like a home and not a facility, and mostly for the people who make my dad and my family feel welcome.

Story Cottage Living combines compassion and potential residents and their families. The cottages are really comfortable homes for a small number of residents, offering personalized care. My experience was typical in that I was touring facilities before there was a need. I knew after touring one of the cottages that this type of design would provide a dignified, professional home. The home is immaculate. The food is delicious and the staff is kind, friendly and caring, as well as specifically trained to care for people with different types of dementia.

Story Cottage on Carey Road is simply the best. My mom is in very late stages with lewy body dementia and lives at Story Cottage. There is no place like Story Cottage. The maximum amount of residents for Carey Road is 10. They have a wonderful team of staff that provide for these 10 people day and night. I am lucky my mom is one of them. We were extremely hesitant for my mom to go anywhere but desperately needed it for my dad. After touring so many places, they were the only place we felt she would be given the attention she needs and a safe place. They have so many activities and even though my mom can't participate, they never leave her out. They have events for the families that are so fun. Christmas carolers, colts game parties, valentines dinner, etc. We can come and go as we please and be with my mom any minute of the day. The house is beautiful. We have extended family over to see her and we can all eat together in the family room or outside on the back patio. Story Cottage has changed our lives and we are so thankful for everyone there.

I could not be more impressed with this facility! The staff truly care about the residents and with the staff to resident ratio, they get excellent care. The activities they have for their residents are also wonderful. For Christmas they had an amazing party with carolers that came and sang carols, and an amazing spread of treats and hot chocolate for the residents and family. The manager, Kristen, goes above and beyond for her residents. She purchased them all individualized gifts for Christmas that were unique to each resident. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
