My dad was at Creekstone for 15 months and the care was outstanding. The staff was incredibly loving, engaging and took excellent care of Dad. I checked in constantly and at all hours. We were blessed to have such wonderful people looking after him. The cottages are clean, comfortable and cozy. No long hallways and the residents are constantly out of their rooms which are very nice with large private bathrooms.

Our father-in-law stayed at Creekstone for about a year, and the care he received was not adequate, and it had a significant impact on his health. He had difficulty getting in and out of bed, and assistance was not readily available. As a result, he sustained a number of falls. It became so bad that we hired an independent aide at significant cost to be with him in the evenings.<br><br>During his time at Creekstone, he also lost a significant amount of weight, and his dementia worsened dramatically. Often, he would be asked if he wanted to eat a meal and would decline to eat either because he had forgotten whether he had already eaten or was feeling contrary. So the employee would simply walk away and our father-in-law would not eat.<br><br>Also, it was not uncommon for us to come in and find him in bed in the same clothes that he had worn the day before.<br><br>One of the most frustrating incidents was when he was transferred to the hospital following a recent fall. Family members contacted several employees at Creekstone who were unable to tell us exactly what hospital he had been transferred to. They simply did not know.<br><br>One issue in my opinion is that Creekstone has a system of care where every employee there is responsible for everything. As a result, no one is really held accountable for the care of the patients.<br><br>I am writing this review not to slam Creekstone but to caution families against placing loved ones there without really understanding the scope of care they provide.<br><br>I am happy to report that my father-in-law is now in a new facility, has gained back the weight he lost, and his dementia seems to be doing much better with proper care.

Nothing but high praise! After spending the last ten days in Rochester visiting my mother, who lives at Creekstone Memory Care, I can’t tell you how much my family and I appreciate the culture of caring that Jennifer and Nancy have created there. Every evening that I would leave after visiting my mother, and witnessing all the lovely interactions between her and her caregivers, I felt so incredibly grateful, and so lucky to have found Creekstone. In the four months my mom has lived there, she seems so happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It's a very special place! I would not hesitate to inquire and see if this environment is right for your parent.
