I cannot thank this group of professionals enough. When my husband checked in from another hospital, he could not even stand on his own, he could not even turn or reposition himself in bed. He could not even sign his name because he had been so critically ill and had lost all his strength. When a friend and I toured the facility before his admission, I was impressed with the very nice reception area and the cleanliness. We were met with Michael B. the head of physical therapy. He assured us that he and his staff would get my husband strong enough to be able to walk again. He and his wonderful staff of therapists made good on his promise. My husband left the facility ambulating with a walker. All the wonderful nurses that cared for my husband on a daily basis, Jesus, Ray, Roman and Ana were attentive, compassionate and caring. The CNA's were excellent, always caring and ready to assist my husband in any way, always ready to attend to my husband when he required so much care and always going the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. The wound care nurses were excellent, making it their primary goal to expertly care for my husband's stage 4 pressure ulcers which were courtesy of his hospitalization and so very painful when my husband was so critically ill. They kept me informed of every treatment and the progress. I am happy to say that his ulers are on their way to complete healing because of their expert care. Most of all, the administration was kind enough to allow me to stay with my husband throughout his admission. My husband was at Harlingen Nursing Home and Rehabilitation for three months. I am so happy that I made the choice to transfer him to this facility. I will always be grateful to this amazing group of professionals.
