Many high end convalescing and physical therapy facilities once considered five star care residences pre-COVID went bankrupt during the lockdowns, and were bought out by the same greedy Venture Capitalists currently ravaging the rest of the elder care industry. Cambridge at Moorestown, formerly the Lutheran Home, is no exception. We discovered this in 2025 after a family member experienced a traumatic injury requiring convalescing care. Welcoming staff? No one even acknowledged our arrival until 12 hours later. That meant no meals! The opulent ambiance and crystal chandeliers? Only there to lure your business. The attractive dietary menus? You'll take that tiny grey hot dog for your Sunday dinner and you'll damn well like it. Daily PT? Not in this lifetime. Clean sheets? Only if you complain loudly enough. Caring experienced nurses? Better get used to non-English speaking "assistants" assigned to ten patients at a time supervised by an invisible administrative nurse. The "Family Meeting" to address grievances involving abuse or lapses in care? Pre-scripted and choreographed to shut you down. Recommend you take a professional advocate along. In our case, we evacuated to another facility in the middle of the night after a non-English speaking "nurse" arrived with double the prescribed dosage of pain medication, putting our family member's life at risk. If you find yourself in need of serious post-hospitalization PT or convalescing care, this is not your best choice. Despite being a wealthy retirement community in one of the wealthiest towns in NJ, the medical convalescing wing at Cambridge is understaffed and very low end staffed with screen addicted unresponsive zombies. Pre-Covid levels of care seem no longer available at former standalone facilities like this. If you have good private insurance, stay way clear of this place if you care at all about your loved one.

Very clean facility and friendly staff. They are very good to the patients. The therapist are wonderful and have gotten my dad back up on his feet to go home twice now. If you need something .. just ask .. they respond in a positive helpful way and will go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as can be.

I can't even give this place a star. I wouldn't under good conscience recommend this facility. My father in law was sent here to be rehabilitated and instead he slowly died. My wife got full POA over him while he was there and we gave copies to the facility. It seemed like every time we were there we weren't greeted by any of his nurses or care givers, not even a charge nurse for the floor. The only time we ever talked to a nurse was when we had concerns over his health and well being. My father in law was showing signs of severe depression and had lost his will to live, he wasn't mentally capable of caring for himself or make decisions for himself, but we found out he was listed as his own caregiver despite the fact my wife had POA. My wife told the facility to get him up and dressed and involved with activities as he was always in bed and in a hospital gown. He was also down to 80 pounds! He had a blood platelet issue and eventually requested oxygen. When my wife asked the nurse as to a medical reason for giving him oxygen they couldn't provide one. At one point they were monitoring him and almost sent him to the hospital, but decided against it. The last set of levels this place ran on him was in May before he passed away in July. They failed to care for him and failed to rehabilitate him. They will be hearing from our lawyer soon.

I recently visited a friend at Cambridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center and had a very positive impression. The staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment I arrived, which made the visit feel comfortable and reassuring. My friend appears to be receiving good care and support, and it’s clear that the team is attentive to residents’ needs. Overall, it gave me peace of mind seeing him in a place where he seems well cared for.

Cambridge Health Center has a great staff who truly care about the residents. Everyone was helpful, attentive, and professional throughout our experience. The food was okay pretty standard, but acceptable. The discharge process was smooth and easy, which made a stressful time much more manageable. Housekeeping also did a great job keeping everything clean and comfortable. I especially want to highlight the new Patient Relations Manager, who is absolutely amazing. She was attentive, approachable, and made sure any questions or concerns were addressed. Her involvement really stood out and made a positive difference. Overall, a solid experience with a compassionate and dedicated team.
