Respite Care

We provide lovely fully furnished private suites for short-term / temporary stays. Respite stays can be as short as a few days, or as long as a few months depending on your preference. Our community is designed to look and feel just like the comforts of your home, but with hundreds of special touches in place to make life easier. Respite residents receive all the features and benefits enjoyed by full-time residents such as around-the-clock caring staff, on-site easy access amenities, concierge services, five-star dining, wellness programs, life enrichment activities, transportation, housekeeping, personal assistance with daily living and resident centered health care.

Family members / caregivers often seek respite services in order to take a vacation or if they leave town for a business trip, if their loved one needs additional service or strengthening following hospitalization or an ailment or they wish to take a break from the daily routine of care giving. Other residents take advantage of our short-term stay program in order to experience our community of friends and neighbors before making a decision to move permanently. It’s an excellent way to “try us out” and determine if the Bloom lifestyle fits your needs and preferences without any long-term commitment. Many of our permanent residents decide to move into our community after experiencing life during a short-term stay. Respite suites are also available for visiting guests and family members.

This issue is about far more than a billing dispute. It is about the complete lack of communication and accountability from Bloom's ownership and administration.

For weeks, I have been attempting to get clarification regarding my mother's contract and the refund we believe is owed. Despite repeated phone calls and emails, Scott and the leadership team have made no effort to contact me directly. There have been no returned calls, no meaningful responses, and no attempt to explain their position regarding the contract.

What makes this even more concerning is that Bloom was able to respond almost immediately to my public review, yet somehow could not find the time to pick up the phone and speak with me directly. If the facility can monitor and respond to online reviews, it can certainly return a family's phone call regarding a serious financial matter.

Rather than treating this as an opportunity to communicate with a concerned family member, Bloom appears more focused on viewing criticism as an attack on its reputation. This is not a public attack. It is the direct result of repeated attempts to resolve concerns privately being ignored. When phone calls go unanswered, emails receive no response, and leadership refuses to communicate, families are often left with no other option but to share their experiences publicly.

A public response is not a substitute for direct communication. Families deserve transparency, professionalism, and honest answers when legitimate concerns are raised. Instead, I was repeatedly ignored while being told that attempts had been made to contact me, despite having no record of any phone calls, voicemails, emails, or messages.

Had Bloom spent the same amount of effort addressing our concerns privately as they did managing their online reputation, this situation could have been resolved long ago. The continued refusal to communicate only raises more questions and demonstrates a troubling disregard for the families who trust them with their loved ones' care.

This place is terrific. After touring multiple assisted living facilities around the Indianapolis area, my 83-year-old father moved into Bloom at German Church a few months ago. Like most people, I had no idea about assisted living, nursing homes, etc...so I was taking in a lot of information quickly and unexpectedly. Ultimately, I chose Bloom at German Church over other facilities because of the people that work there. I'm glad I did. The entire staff has been extraordinary. The Community Relations Director (Anna), Maintenance person (John), nurses, etc... have all been unbelievably supportive. They do their jobs well and do it with a real sense of caring toward the residents.
My dad has enjoyed the food, continues to be impressed by the size of his room and, after some initial pushback, seems to have settled very nicely in his new place.
At a time when everything seemed to be falling apart, I feel very lucky that I was able to find this place.

I have my sister living at Bloom for the last 6.5 years. She was welcomed very quickly when she moved in. She went from no care no meals cigarette smoking Pepsi drinking and inability to get out of her bed. Was in soiled clothing and bed almost all the time. She was to have home aid come in and bathe her and fix her breakfast or a meal. 5-6 times a week . She was lucky to get anyone a,couple days a week.
At Bloom she is living in mostly cleanliness. She is incontinent a lot and she had to clean herself as much as possible. Bloom NEVER SMELLS OF URINE OR HAS ANY BAD ODORS..
She loves going on the bus for all field trips and being free to leave facility with family.
She has made friendships with ma y of tbe residents.People are very patient with her.
Bloom gives her the caring and concern she needs that I cannot provide for her. I love my sister to pieces but it would be impossible for us to live together. She met on the first day the very kindest man she has ever known. That is a huge bonus for her and our whole family loves him. I had Bloom recommended to me by two friends who both worked there. That was the best referral I have ever received from another person.
