Don't send any1 u value 2 this place. Don't deserve 1 star! Patients r sent here 2 DIE. My dad was talking, joking, laughing, eating and requesting solid food and using his phone b4 his transfer here. Since being here, he was in the hospital half the time. He acquired MORE bed sores. The Social worker advocated 4 him 2 b placed on hospice out of the blue when i was discussing y my dad never getting another American kidney fund check this year when previously, he got 1 about every quarter. This place looks worse on the inside than out. It has cockroaches. It smells! The sinks and toilets r never cleaned. The floors look dirty and r often sticky much like the furniture. Trash is left 4 days and weeks at a time on window seals, on top and inside furniture. They've left cups, water bottles, soiled bandages/linens on top of and inside the furniture and remnants of medical supplies as trash on the floor and in/on furniture as well, also on the window seal. Cleaning supplies r left in patient rooms like they're utility closets yet these items aren't used 2 clean any rooms, hallways or common areas. The outdoor sitting areas r unkept. If u walk up 2 the nursing station, u might b ignored. Don't bring new items here, especially clothing garments. Putting a poster on the wall that says "family will do laundry" won't stop brand new and clearly labeled items from going missing! They stopped putting sheets on the beds. There were pillows and blankets but the patients were on bare mattresses. Dinner was usually served after 7pm. Getting back 2 the social worker, y would she text me that she told the emts 2 deliver my dad 2 river oaks? He was picked up from their facility and never admitted 2 river oaks. When asked about another transfer, she mentioned stonegate and said they have on site dialysis. She knew full well that he came from stonegate in part cuz they didn't have on site dialysis! She replaced some of my dad's missing items, but otherwise, she's not 2 b trusted. More was taken than replaced. These places r generally horrible, especially here in Texas 4 some reason. I'm considering getting an attorney or taking other action 2 recoup monies paid. Who would pay 2 stay in that disgusting place?! My dad caught ecoli here! Pics coming soon.
