About Avir at Kennedale

Avir at Kennedale is a 58-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Kennedale, Texas. The community operates under new ownership as of the past year, with a management team that has substantial tenure at the facility.

Families consistently praise the staff's warmth and attentiveness. Multiple reviewers describe caregivers as reliable, welcoming, and genuinely caring, one family noted they were "very very pleased" with how staff greeted them during an unannounced visit. Residents participate in regular activities including bingo, balloon toss, and nail painting, and the rural setting appeals to those seeking a quieter environment away from city life. The facility maintains a clean environment, and families appreciate seeing residents engaged and social with one another and visitors.

However, reviews surface serious concerns. A small number of families report significant issues: pest infestations (roaches and ant bites), inadequate room amenities for residents with medical needs, poor wound care (bed sores), and missed medical appointments with unresponsive staff communication. These complaints suggest inconsistency in facility operations and care quality.

Avir at Kennedale holds a 4.3 out of 5 rating across 41 Google reviews. The majority of feedback is positive and centers on staff friendliness and activity engagement, but the minority of one-star reviews detail care and maintenance failures that families should weigh carefully when considering the facility.

I was sent down here from a sister facility. These people are doing care right! I was immediately greeted and welcomed. Everyone I saw was having fun and all smiles. Very welcoming atmosphere from top to bottom. Clean and the smell of BBQ wafted through the air. Their admin was so very sweet and accommodating. I almost asked for a room to stay! I look forward to working with this facility from hence forward! If they're that welcoming to vendors, those residents are very well cared for! I look forward to future visits!
