About Avir at Cleburne

Avir at Cleburne (formerly Colonial Manor) is a 137-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Cleburne, Texas. The community serves patients requiring rehabilitation after injury, those with advanced dementia and behavioral needs, hospice respite care, and residents with complex medical conditions including MS.

Family experiences divide sharply. Many describe attentive, compassionate staff, one family noted individual caregivers like Christian and Janet as standout providers, and several families highlighted staff willingness to accommodate needs like supervised visits between spouses and transparent end-of-life communication. The facility's physical plant appears mixed: some visitors report cleanliness and recent improvements, while others describe outdated infrastructure and chronic understaffing that delays response times. A few families raised serious concerns about safety, theft, and neglect.

Rehabilitation outcomes are noted positively by families whose relatives regained mobility and independence. Atmosphere and management responsiveness emerge as strengths in positive reviews, though staffing challenges surface in critical accounts as a limiting factor in consistent care delivery.

One of the best staffs in the industry. We have seen them countless times go the extra mile for their residents and each other. A good sign of a good building is when you have tenured employees and this building has quite a few!

It can be sad going to see your loved one in a home. The receptionist/event coordinator here jordan is so bubbly and kind. She arranges fun events for staff and family alike. It makes it easier to know my great grandmother is in here.
