My father has been here twice. I would have given it another star but this last time my father stayed here was beyond disappointing. My father was here for about 2 weeks and suddenly they were stating his insurance wouldn't cover the stay. They only had his Medicare information and my father is a member of the Medicaid Star Plus Waiver program. It completely covers (among other things) long term care. I gathered the information for them and tried to call the woman who handles the information for 2 days to give it to her. Leaving multiple messages and would never get a call back. The very next day I received a call from my father (not someone from the center) letting me know they released him. I was not prepared for his return home as I was fixing his room to be more accessible for him, but sent for him a ride home anyways. The center changed up his medication completely. I will say the changes made were for the better. But they did not call them into any pharmacy whatsoever so he could continue that medication schedule once at home. I had to contact his primary care providers office and have a temporary prescription called in for him until he goes to his next appointment. In the mean time... his blood pressure shot through the roof because his release was done after hours. So when it comes to the appearance and location of the place...it's great. Located right next to the hospital which is assuring. But as far as case management, hospitality and general overall - its extremely disappointing. I will look into other options for the future.
