If you hate your family member and want them slowly drained of all self worth then this is the place. My mother became a resident there 12/19 and it seemed great! Everything does in the beginning, then the truth reveals itself. They are smug, unfeeling, don’t have a clue on how to tell the truth or follow the law. Save your time contacting state for help they are basically one and the same. There were times my mother smelled so bad I could hardly hug her, her nails had her feces under them, they didn’t bother to clean them they just painted over them with a hideous bright pink. It was bad enough my mother asked me to please do something so I had to quit my job to take care of her. These idiots actually called APS on me!! “ They were afraid I didn’t have the equipment to take care of her” smh They had an entire facility and they couldn’t get the job done. I have no clue what her trust fund money was spent on it wasn’t hair washed or hair cuts nor was it personal hygine products because I had to buy them for her and we have never received anything stating her financial standings until right before I brought her home. They informed me they hadn’t recieved her pension check in 2 years!!! Two months would be pretty hard to accept but 2 years?!? And have acted like they have been more than patient with us not taking care of it. They lost her bottom denture plate charged her for it and she still doesn’t have a bottom plate . I’m not sure what meds they gave her but it must have been horrible because she stopped all meds completely! She is a diabetic and heart patient. And apparently has an esophageal hernia so bad she can only eat puréed food and most of the time can’t eat or drink without getting sick. They NEVER MENTIONED ONE SINGLE WORD OF THIS TO ME! I tried to get her moved to a different nursing home but thanks to the admin who openly said it was her fault the home refused to take her. The things my mother has told me since she has been home I’m mad at myself that I ever left her there for 1 night much less 4 years!! If I could leave a rating of negative stars I would, it needs to be shut down. The local vet would be more humane.

Do not send your family here they have so many complaints about mistreating ppl there, I didn't find out till after my mother cought covid while she lived there and died. That going through her phone that they mistreated her so badly to the point the point she was glad she could finally leave there. That is beyond sad and if your reading this please have health officials and the state look into it. I still have her phone and the memo messages she left on there and if need be I will testify in court to get this place shut down just like I did with the Westchester plaza in fort worth tx due to how they treated her there

I've been a resident of the nursing home for a while and I was at one in Lake Worth for months before that. I have found this home to be very careful with the resident's needs and issues. The administration and staff here are all about making the resident's star comfortable and with a real home style cooking, it's the best I've seen. 5 stars! December, 2020 I wanted to add to my review, considering the current Pandemic and how it is changing the face of the world as we knew it. Here at Homestead, we have been blessed by having a woman, Karen Rodriguez, R.N., as not only our former DON, but now as our Administrator. When Covid-19 first broke out, she was all over it. She locked the facility down tight, mandated mask for all, no exceptions; temperature checks on every shift; restricted movement and more. She is responsible for keeping us safe, and is continuing to do so. If you are considering a long term home for your loved one, this could be it. We are OK here - and we will survive this because our staff cares.

My mother moved into Homestead in September 2019. She absolutely loves All the staff there. The facility is small, drab and aged but the care is 100%. It does not have state of the art anything and not all the plumbing works but its residents are healthy and active and always smiling. So if the owners would update & fix the facility it would be a 5 Starr
