About Family Tree Private Care

Family Tree Private Care is an in-home care agency serving Fort Worth and the surrounding Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area. The company provides private caregiving, private duty nursing, and geriatric care management services to seniors and individuals with disabilities who wish to age in place at home.

The agency offers a range of caregiving services including bathing, basic housekeeping, assistance with meals, medication reminders, and grocery shopping help. For clients requiring more advanced medical support, Family Tree provides private duty nursing services such as IV management and infusions, medication administration, wound care, catheter care, g-tube feeding, and pain management. The company is licensed by the State of Texas to provide both caregiving and private nursing services.

A distinctive feature of Family Tree's approach is its geriatric care management service, in which trained Care Managers work with each client to develop customized life care plans addressing medical, financial, legal, and wellness needs. These Care Managers advocate for families while navigating the healthcare system and coordinate with medical, financial, and legal resources involved in the client's care.

The agency emphasizes careful caregiver and nurse selection and training. All caregivers go through multiple interviews, competency testing, and comprehensive orientation covering topics such as Alzheimer's and dementia care, fall prevention, diabetes management, and patient transferring. The company employs W-2 staff caregivers and nurses rather than independent contractors, and the organization has over 100 years of combined nursing, care management, and caregiving experience among its team members.

Fortunately, my mother lived at an independent apartment that had Family Tree Private Care onsite prior to her stroke. Twania came to my mother's rehab facility to set up home health care before she moved back to her apartment. The caring staff has made a difficult situation so much better - Arlette and Rachel specifically. Having them stay with my mom during the day allowed me to keep working knowing that my mom was safe.

It is a pleasure to write this review for Professional Caretakers. My mother was discharged from a Fort Worth hospital after an eight day stay. We knew she needed help at home with personal needs, mobility and safety. The hospital discharge planner suggested we call Professional Caretakers. After a visit in the hospital from one of Professional Caretakers nurses to understand her needs, a highly competent and kind caretaker came to her house to spend the night and provide personal assistance. Over the next several weeks my mother had four caregivers from Professional Caretakers that provided help with her personal needs, minor household assistance and the companionship of kind, personable and considerate caregivers. Without exception, every caregiver that came to her house was highly skilled, considerate and kind. The phone calls with the office and schedulers was also easy as mom recovered and assistance was slowly cut back. We know that a surgery is in the future for my mom and when that happens we will call Professional Caretakers again.

This is a wonderful and comfortable adult daycare facility. Plus they provide in-home care. The people are so caring and professional. I have known Howard Peterson (co-owner) for a long time now. They truly have a heart for caring for others. Howard was a source of excellent advice when dealing with my grandmother. I always recommend Professional Caretakers.

My Mom has utilized Professional Caretakers home health services three times and often goes to Rose Cottage during the day. We had a wonderful and likable home health aide the first two times and the third time they sent out a lady who was only interested in working on her personal paperwork and applying her make-up. The beautiful part of this poor experience is that Professional Caretakers completely refunded our money for the sub-par performance. I simply stated that we were not terribly happy with her lack of attention to my Mom and they initiated the refund. Great public relations move. My Mom often request to go to Professional Caretaker's adult day care named Rose Cottage and I find it to be a good way for her to get out of the house and mingle.

Professional Caretakers is both professional and compassionate. They are the second home health care we have used to care for our parents. Huge difference between the two! They take care of business....billing, long term care insurance, scheduling, all run smoothly. The care given in the home is of love, dignity, experience and truly wanting to make a difference in our parents daily lives. If you are struggling with your decision of who to bring in to care for your loved ones, stop worrying and try Professional Caretakers.
