Was here in September of 2025 just revisiting and editing some my review. I just hope and pray that the nursing staff on the 3rd floor rehabilitation has gotten alot better. If it wasn't for the ones mentioned below in my original review this place could be 5 stars. >>> Original review> A PLACE AS NICE AS THIS SHOULDN'T HAVE SO MANY BAD 1 STAR REVIEWS...... I'TS BECAUSE OF THE NEGLECTFUL AND RUDE BLACK AND AFRICAN FEMALE NURSES RUNNING THE PLACE BADLY AND VERY RUDE whenever the administration isn't here. I'm a African American person myself so it's really sad that i get such awful treatment from my own people. Hannah the administrator is one of the sweetest ladies i know, if it wasn't for her compassion and heart for the patients I'd left this place already. But she let's me know whenever I have a problem with any staff to let her know and she quickly solves it. She's the best along with the other administration Kelsey, ELIZABETH, Terri and Christine are all great administrators...i just hate that they have some poor and uncaring nurses under their care when they are not here. This place would be a100% better without a few of the rude nurses. I can even hear them outside my door gossiping and talking bad about their own co workers and patients. ZACH IS THE BEST NURSE IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED OUT OF ANY NURSE FROM ANY FACILITY IVE BEEN TO. THE AFRICAN LADY NAMED JACKIE WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND MOST INCOMPASSIONATE HUMAN I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. TALKING TO OTHER PATRONS I FOUND OUT IT'S THE 3RD FLOOR THAT THE MOST NEGLECTFUL AND LACKING IN CUSTOMER CARE!!!! ESPECIALLY THE OVER NIGHT SHIFT. THEY TAKE OVER AN HOUR TO ANSWER THE CALL BUTTON. I HAD TO CALL 911 CAUSE MY LEGS AND FEET SWELLLED UP EARLIER I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE. The building itself is very nice, clean and decor is like a 5 star hotel but the nurse ON THE 3RD FLOOR THE AFRICAN LADY JACKIE is the most unnattentive and least helpful nurses I've ever encountered in my life.. I've had a total of 6 abdominal surgeries including appendectomy and Nissan fundiplication on esophagus and 6 spine surgeries. The recent surgery I'm here for now was a 230 lumbar fusion to where 2 surgeons had to go through stomach and back to do lumbar repair, which will take more intimate care and looking out for. The care by The overnight nurses at this hospital NEVER COME IN MY ROOM TO CHECK ON ME AND IT'S BEEN A FIGHT AND A STRUGGLE TO GET THEM TO DO THEIR JOB, GIVE MEDICINES and clean wounds WHEN ITS TIME. I HAVE ALOT OF HEALTH ISSUES AND HAVE HAD MANY SURGERIES.... . THE ADMINISTRATION LADIES REALLY DO LISTEN AND ARE GENUINELY CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR CARE AND THEY REMOVED THE HORRIBLE JACKIE FROM MY CARE! AND THEY ALSO REMOVED THE OTHER MEAN BLACK WOMAN WHO ARGUED WITH ME ABOUT MY MEDICINE. So the administration will listen to you if you call them with whatever problems you may have with their staff.

I have lived at The Stayton for almost fourteen years. My favorite things about living here are the friendships with other residents and the excellent care from the staff. However, there are lots of other things to love. We have free transportation to doctors’ appointments, hair appointments, DFW Airport, museums, concerts, lunch and dinner outings, and anywhere else we might want to go. We have an excellent exercise program sponsored by Cooper Clinic in Dallas, an indoor pool, and a fully outfitted gym. We have in-house concerts and lectures and many special social events. We have three dining venues, and the food is delicious. Of particular note is that we are a CCRC, which means we have four levels of care: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing Care. I have had occasion to have excellent care on the nursing floor, conveniently here in this building, following three surgeries. We are currently undergoing a “refresh” of our common areas to bring everything back to “like new.” We would love for you to join us.

After years as an independent living resident, I would choose The Stayton again for its Plan A Lifecare Agreement and resident-focused programming. Management considers the quality of life for the whole person. New and renewed relationships are extra special, lovely dining options, Cooper Clinic driven fitness programs, varied activities, wonderful staff and a beautiful building in the Cultural District overlooking Trinity Park.

WOW what an amazing facility!!!! We are ecstatic about the level of care, professionalism and desire to please demonstrated to my husband and I during our stay in the skilled nursing unit. The care was excellent and it felt like home. We had the sense of being part of the community of caregivers and patients. The food is absolutely fantastic. No even close to what is served at a hospital, The menu offered allows for choices at a sit down restaurant style atmosphere. The activity director goes out of her way to distract the patients by scheduling numerous activities throughout the week and having special appearances of local musical talent come to entertain and make the stay as pleasing as possible. Oh, and you can bring your beloved pet which continues to give the love and companionship the patients have gotten so used to and enjoy. Then there is The Bistro, an informal dining experience for residents and family to enjoy so you can spend as much time as possible with your loved one. Therapy is also a top notch service provided. The whole group try so hard to get the patients engaged and home as soon as possible. We have never been to a facility that is outstanding in every way. If you are blessed to be admitted to the Stayton's rehab unit you are up for a treat....you will never want to go any other place again. If you are looking for a place to enjoy your best years of your life, consider The Stayton. You will join a community of caring, supportive individuals and have life-long friendships and relationships that you will cherish forever. where you are looking for independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing or memory care it is all bundled in one place. I can't say enough of The Stayton...it is spectacular in every way...a little piece of heaven on earth!!!! Thank you Bianca, Zach, Tina, Marta, Carlene and the rest of the fabulous team of the Stayton. You will be missed and you will have a special place in our hearts.

My family and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Skilled Nursing Unit at The Stayton in Fort Worth. From the moment my dad was admitted, we knew he was in the best hands. The level of care, compassion, and professionalism shown here is truly exceptional. A special thank you to Nurse Zach and CNAs Monique and Aliya. They went above and beyond every single day to make sure my dad was comfortable, safe, and well cared for. What touched us most is how they treated him like family, not just a patient. Their kindness, patience, and genuine concern made all the difference in his recovery and our peace of mind. The entire management team at The Stayton provided outstanding support, but these individuals in particular made a lasting impact on us. We are so grateful for their dedication and the amazing care my dad received. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be treated with respect, compassion, and excellence, I highly recommend The Stayton’s Skilled Nursing Unit.
