We were exasperated of hope in actually having a positive experience in rehab. Finally, thank God, my dad is at VH. He’s receiving excellent care in every way they can provide it. Thank you so much.

Tremendous turnover in staff, including Administrators, Directors of Nursing, last two of each stayed less than a year. I agree that about some nurses only passing meds. I had a nurse tell me he wasn’t my mother’s nurse and couldn’t get me a cup of water, he didn’t know her diet! you shouldn’t even have to ask for water, requirement that all patients have water. He was eating at the nurses station and couldn’t be bothered. There are some absolute wonderful staff, but certainly not enough. We will see if anything improves. Perhaps this next DON will get staff tuned up.

After my mom had open heart surgery, she needed rehabilitation, and I brought her to Valley Hill Health & Rehabilitation—not only because I work here, but because I truly trusted the care team to help her through such a vulnerable time. From the moment she arrived, the CNAs and nursing staff went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable, safe, and cared for with patience and compassion. They didn’t just do their jobs—they treated my mom with dignity, kindness, and genuine concern, which meant everything to our family during her recovery. I also want to give special recognition to the medical provider, TiAngela Brock with T4 Medical. She is truly amazing—so attentive, caring, and compassionate. She took the time to listen, explain things clearly, and made sure my mom’s needs were met every step of the way. Having a provider like her on hand brings so much peace of mind. I’m grateful for the support, teamwork, and the heart this facility shows its patients. Thank you, Valley Hill, for taking such great care of my mom when she needed it most.

My nana was there for a month for rehab. I will say this was hands down a great facility the nurses, CNAs, therapy, directors, social worker and everyone you passed down the hallway working they was so friendly and was so kind to my nana. The activities they have on the calendar got my nana out of her room to socialize that was awesome the activities calendar. I just couldn’t say more great things about this place. I thank you all for everything you done!

The CNAs at this facility are absolutely amazing — caring, attentive, and always putting residents first. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, especially the weekend staff who go above and beyond despite being overworked. However, I’ve noticed some concerns that need to be addressed. The nurses on the east wing are often seated on their phones or FaceTiming, unless it’s time to pass medications. I’ve seen situations where a resident asked for help, and instead of getting up, a nurse would ask a CNA to handle it while continuing their phone call. That kind of behavior is disappointing and feels very unprofessional — especially when you see how hard the CNAs are working right alongside them. It was also disheartening to overhear a nurse gossiping about a CNA in front of other staff members, even after that CNA handled the situation with grace and professionalism. That’s not the kind of teamwork or respect any facility should promote. Housekeeping could also be more consistent, as CNAs seem to take on extra cleaning duties too. Overall, I’d give 5 stars for the hardworking CNAs, therapy, administration, dietary, and laundry teams — they’re truly the backbone of this place. A few nurses could learn from their example. — From a former CNA ❤️
