My best friend died here and I called to file a complaint as was verbally assaulted by the CNO (an African man) with no sense of professionalism. He would not provide his name, instructions for an ROI and said he has spoken with me before even though it was my first time contacting them. I believe they neglect patients severely and have filed a formal complaint with State DSHS to investigate the death and issues pertaining to patient rights. Do not send anyone you care about to this neglectful awful place.

To whom this may concern. My name is Ruben Torres, I am the ex-husband to Julie Saenz, a patient there in y'all's facility. First of all, I want to start off by saying that I am a 45 year old man with a full time job, (50+ hours weekly), I have my own home, and the proud owner of the most comfortable queen sized bed ever made. I bring that up because I would love nothing more than to be home every night, and falling asleep in that oh so comfy bed, however, here recently, my personal life has been disrupted, and has taken a back seat to my growing concern for my ex wife Julie. Julie called me and begged me to please come to y'all's facility, not only to keep her company, but to also help with the little things she needs done for her personal care, so I found myself there, spending the night, and helping where need be. Her main concern was her calling and asking your staff to tend to what you would assume be the job of the staff working there. For example, the dressing around her wound for surgery. Not only did she call and ask several staff members to help rewrap or redo her dressing, do to constant blood drainage, but waited more than a full day or 2 before finally her giving in and attempting to rewrap her self, along with my help, because we did not want to wait any longer, and her wound possibly getting infected. We did the best we could, however, our concerns turned into a reality when the doctor finally came in to check on Julie and her wound, and notified us of an infection settling in on her wound. Needless to say, Julie was taken back to Medical City Las Colinas where doctor performed ANOTHER surgery to clean up the infection. Now back at your facility, once again, I made it a point to hang around Saturday night, and attempted to stay again Sunday night, just in case Julie happened to be ignored again, and needed any help at all with the job responsibilities of your staff. Instead, I was told that I could no longer stay, and that if I didn't leave there was a possibility that I could be escorted out of the building. As I said earlier, I would love nothing more than to be in my own home and my own bed, it's just hard not to want to be there with her, seeing and experiencing the neglect already shown in previous weeks. In closing, just as easy and simple it would be to show up and personally escort me out of the building, I would hope it would be just as easy and simple to show up and personally escort your necessary staff members to Julie's room to do what their job entails, and hopefully avoiding any more unnecessary setbacks brought forth by their unnecessary negligence. On a side note, when I'm there, not once do I ever leave Julie's room, not once have I ever disrupted y'all's facility, not once have I ever started trouble with any staff there. I find it so unprofessional to be told to leave the premises without ever asking me personally if I had any questions or concerns that needed to be addressed so that my presence there was not needed. A simple conversation is all that was needed before any threats were ever to be made. Simply put, if your staff was there doing their jobs and what needed to be done, then there is no reason for me to make my presence known, being there, and doing it for them .
