We visited a patient in Solaris Healthcare and the experience was great and pleasant. The staff welcomed us with friendly attitude and the nurses greet us with a smile. The location was cleaned and smelled clean throughout. The patient was well groomed and the room cleaned. . The dinner had well balanced diet and food seems really good /tasty per patient. We were very impressed. Thank you for making a difference compare to other nursing homes. Please continue the good care for our loved ones who deserve love and dignity during their last years on earth. God bless you! 🙏🏻❤️

My wife stayed at the solaris rehab east orlando for three weeks. Overall, it's a very nice facility with well trained and diligent staff. The rooms are clean and the place is well run. Of course, there were some problems, not all of which is the fault of the staff. My main difficulty was that the therapy provided was too infrequent and short. This was largely due to limitations of the insurance coverage, but it seemed like sessions were limited to 40 minutes and sometimes the OT and PT did their therapy together rather than having separate sessions, so, rather than two 40-minute sessions there was just ONE. So my wife's progress was glacial. I also had some problems with the discharge date in that I was not kept informed or consulted until after they had made a decision. But when I finally was told, I reacted by saying that either my wife had to receive separate therapy sessions and that I had to be allowed to get a walker so I could do my own therapy with her. They then tried hard to accommodate me and I eventually felt better about the outcome. So my advice is that it's a really nice facility with some caring people, but you have make your views known when you think something is wrong. Insist on them maximizing the patient's therapy time. Otherwise, the patient may be discharged having had inadequate therapy. It would also help if your insurance covers more than one PT session per day.

I wonder if Solaris pays regulators or staff to say the opposite of what the majority of their workers are saying...in ALL questions related to employee satisfaction, the score was BELOW average, according to Indeed. Since employees are the ones who care for the residents, it is certainly a contradiction for the employees to "take great care" of the residents while giving the Facility a BELOW average score in all questions indeed asked tge employees. Great food...you ough to be kidding me. With a great percentage of residents coming from Hispanics families, the menu hardly reflects their culture and heritage. They want to feed your love one with $6.00 and change a day 3 meals plus a snack...do your research and find out what the average cost per day for food is in a Fl nursing home is today. Nursing homes do not give residents any type of food that is comparable to an ACLF. I have seen at dinner time, grilled cheese and tomato soup accross all diets...the meal is salty due to the salt content of the cheese used. Residents with health issues are offered those meals...chicken meals are made with chicken thight meat...is cheaper than using real chicken breast...lemonade and fruit punch is offered rather than juice to keep cost down...snacks are saltines and those sugary juices...when roast beef is offered, bottom round or the harder and more fatty beef is used rather than top round. Then the cook uses ground beef, a much cheaper ingredient, to make puree and mechanichal food, rather than the roast beef, feeding your love one greasy meats that do not compare to the quality of what a good beef is...while collecting 10k a month in fees from insurance and families pockets....never low sodium gravy for anyone who needs it...gravy comes from a powder packet that doesnt say "low sodium". Will you give that to your mom or dad if the order was NAS , or no added salt ? Or would you purchase a good quality meat and provide a from scratch gravy low in salt? Well that is what they do to put Profits over employee satisfaction and residents meal quality. They deny double portion to a hungry younger resident by the current Administrator...violating that resident's right to choose a lousy scoop of starch, or vegy because it saves money by doing this...the resident is then going around at 9 pm in a wheel chair in the kitchen trying to get some snack so ge would not go to bed hungry....that is a disgrace...that same resident complaining that his call light was not being answered and that his urine bag was full...you decide if you beleive those comments on line align with the reality of what is going on in the place...unhappy employees do not care for anyone, much less residents who are not their family. Take your family members and run...

My mom was here last year and she is back again after a horrible fall. She requested it be here because she loved it! Amazing attention, friendly staff and love how clean it always is! It was even nicer to see many amazing nurses, and staff from last year that remembered her! Thank you!

Solaris Healthcare East Orlando is more than a nursing home and rehabilitation center. It is like a “Home” to my mom and the other residents there. They receive more than excellent care. They receive kindness, caring and compassion. The entire office staff, on floor nurses, therapists, Social workers and administrative are delightfully friendly and always willing to help. My mom will miss the staff even though she is delighted to be going home. They are kind and good people and very patient. Several of them got to be more like friends. I highly recommend them!
