There are times in life when Family Support is essential. When my sister was admitted to Solaris Forest Lake, we both felt we'd met Family we didn't know we had. Jackie was our first contact, admissions. She made my sister feel so welcome, safe and cared for. She would regularly stop by for chats, a laugh and to do things above and beyond her obligations. A very kind lady. Jackie was also the leader in our Medicaid application, another great accomplishment. Ava was the first nurse to care for my sister during her stay. She turned a frightening uncertainty into Hope with her warm heart. Kimberlee and Jason were our next Heroes. They helped me understand the financial path so clearly, with such reassurance through the Medicaid process - For six months! So many times did Kimberlee said to me, "Don't Worry .. it's gonna be ok"..And it Was. Josh, Kevin and Sandi are special heroes to my sister, the Pysio Therapy Team. They gave her Hope and Encouragement every day. Finally, Tamnisha, who facilitated my sister's transition to Assisted Living. We're very grateful to her, she thought of every detail. Words cannot truly express how grateful Trish and I are to our extended family at Solaris Forest Lake.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Solaris Healthcare Apopka. From the moment my family member was admitted, the team provided exceptional, compassionate care. The therapists are highly skilled and genuinely invested in their patients' recovery, making sure the entire plan of care was clear and tailored to their needs. The nurses are attentive, the facility is clean, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such great hands. Highly recommended to anyone looking for quality short-term rehab or long-term care in the Apopka area.

I was visiting this weekend and was honestly shocked by the strong urine smell throughout the facility and the lack of care toward residents. The way the area manager approached a sick resident was brutal. What was most concerning is that this behavior occurred in front of visitors. It makes me uncomfortable to imagine what residents may experience behind closed doors when no one is watching. Families should pay close attention and regularly check on their loved ones if they are living at this facility. Respect, hygiene, and proper care should be the minimum standard.

I’ll be honest, I work in a nursing home myself, so I was not excited about the idea of my mom going to one. I’ve seen the good, bad, and ugly over the years. When it came time, I did my homework, and we chose Solaris Forest Lake and I’m so glad that we did. My mom has had a genuinely wonderful stay here. Over the past decade, she’s been in and out of different rehab facilities, so I’ve experienced everything as a caregiver. This place is awesome! The dining room is beautiful and actually feels welcoming daily, and especially for the holidays like St Patrick's Day! And the food? Surprisingly really good. That’s saying a lot, because my mom hates pureed food. Somehow they manage to shape it so it actually looks like real food… like mashed carrots that look like carrots. It made such a difference for her. The staff has been great across the board. Management is helpful and approachable, and every time I walk in, I’m greeted with smiles and “good mornings.” The DON and the Administrator gave me their personal cell phone numbers. I'm a pretty annoying person and ask the nurses 100 questions. They're all very patient with me and kindly answer everything. The call light response time is impressive too. Most of the time it’s under 10 minutes, and the non-clinical staff will even knock and check-in if the light is on, just to make sure everything’s okay. And I have to mention the housekeeper manager… she was an absolute sweetheart. She kept my mom’s room spotless and always made sure her things were arranged nicely before leaving. Honestly, I think sometimes people just want to complain, because I really don’t understand any negative reviews about this place. How many nursing homes still have a bus and take residents out fishing or have entertainers coming in every week? And they actually have night supervisors and good staffing ratios! If they had a job opening for me, I would apply myself.
