We love the caring staff, beautiful building and care that our loved one receives here. They go above and beyond at making this a home instead of a 'facility'. Activities keep the residents entertained and they have fun. Our loved one had to go to rehab at another facility after a stroke, and it was a total mess, with lack of care or concern. Getting him home to Apopka Life Care Center made such a great improvement for him and for us! He is truly home and we are grateful for this amazing staff!!! Thank you Apopka Life Care Center!!!

When you hear the name, "Apopka LIfe Care Center", if you are from Orlando, FL, you instantly think to yourself, "OH NO", that place is awful however this IS NOT the same place/facility that people in this area have grown to be fearful of putting their loved ones in. I recently moved my 91yo grandmother with pretty advanced dementia to this facility in early May. She was previously at Grandvilla of Altamonte but due to numerous reasons (severe wt loss, dirty, lost clothes among other issues) I was forced to find alternative living arrangements for her. Not only did Apopka Life Care Center take her in, but it has also been the BEST experience by far & I have searched/visited & explored many facilities in the Orlando, Altamonte, Lake Mary & Oviedo area. It is new, clean, & the food is GREAT, cooked right on spot. Not only is my grandmother kept clean, for the 1st time in yrs I have seen her dancing & singing along to songs I was sure she had no memory of. Rebecca, the director & point of contact person is always available if I have a question & was always in contact during the initial steps prior to her moving in. They are always eager to help in any way with finances & are not trying to break the bank of these poor elderly people who already live on a fixed income. So, with that being said, I would HIGHLY recommend this facility if you're looking for a family-owned business you can trust with your family member!! Tasha Smith

Apopka Life Care Center and its staff is a breath of fresh air in the assisted living and memory care world. We moved my stepmom here after neglectful care at another facility. We were concerned about the transition as new and unfamiliar is often very difficult to navigate with Alzheimer’s but from the moment that we walked in the door, the staff went out of their way to welcome her in and make her feel comfortable. The entire staff from Rebecca the sales person, to Santhia the activities director, to the front desk receptionist have genuine love, care and concern for the residents and it’s evident in the way they interact with them. If you’re looking for a place for a loved one who needs more care than you can provide at home or who isn’t getting the care that they need at their current facility, please consider checking this place out. We could not be happier with our decision to move my stepmom here.

I am writing to express my significant concerns regarding a recent tour my family and I had at your facility on March 31st. While the new building and accommodations were impressive and comparable to industry standards, our interaction with the sales representative, "R," was alarming due to a lack of transparency and unprofessional communication. During the tour, "R" provided verbal pricing but refused to furnish a written fee sheet, a document that every other Assisted Living Facility (ALF) I have visited has readily offered. When I inquired about AHCA requirements and whether the facility was a non-profit, she became dismissive, stating, "as a business we can charge whatever we want, it's our business." Following this, she abruptly informed me that "my loved one may not be the one for this facility" and began ushering us towards the exit. Before we left, she mentioned a community fee of $3500 and a basic Memory Care base rate starting at $6800, exclusive of additional care. When I asked if the community fee was synonymous with her commission, she replied, "yeah, but I give it back to the facility by helping pay for things for the residents, such as activities that they bring in from the outside." The lack of transparency in pricing and the unprofessional manner in which our questions were handled were deeply concerning. Families seeking care for their loved ones deserve clear, written information and respectful communication. I attempted to mention that, in the State of Florida, ALFs are required to disclose their pricing fees and other financial information, but by then, we had been ushered out. This experience suggests potential issues with leadership and communication, which may contribute to the facility's apparently low occupancy. While the physical environment is appealing, the conduct of your representative made it difficult to consider,Apopka Life Center as a viable option for our loved one.
