I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Pearl of Elk Grove. My mom, Nancy, was admitted for rehab after being in and out of hospitals and several different rehabilitation facilities. Every time she came home, she was in pretty much the same condition she left in. When she arrived at The Pearl, she weighed only 75 pounds, struggled to walk, required continuous oxygen at 4–5 liters, was in extreme pain, and was very depressed. In just one month, the transformation has been incredible. She has gained 20 pounds, no longer needs oxygen, is walking again, and, most importantly, is genuinely happy. The care she has received has been nothing short of amazing. In fact, my mom has decided to stay at The Pearl long-term after completing rehab because she loves it so much. She constantly tells us about the wonderful care she receives every day and even refers to the staff as her friends. I especially want to recognize a few people who have made such a difference in her life. Her favorite CNAs are Rubin and especially Mel, although she says all of the CNAs are incredible. I also want to recognize Martin and Christian. They are truly some of the most compassionate and caring people we've ever met. From day one, they took the time to really listen to my mom. They didn't just check boxes or rush through the process, they heard her concerns, understood what she actually needed, and treated her with kindness, dignity, and respect. You can see that they put their whole hearts into every decision they make. I'd also like to thank the nursing staff, who have been wonderful, even though I can't remember everyone's names. Every interaction our family has had with the staff has been positive. It's very rare to walk into a nursing facility and genuinely like every single staff member, but at The Pearl, you're greeted with kindness the moment you walk through the door. Our family is truly grateful for the exceptional care my mom has received. The Pearl of Elk Grove has given her back her strength, improved her level of comfort and happiness. We couldn't be happier with our decision and highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for outstanding rehabilitation or long-term care. ❤️

Cleaner then some assisted living places I've seen. Staff are nice. Maintenance could improve, specifically someone needs to fix all the leaky faucets in the bathrooms. Family member has been in and out of this place and every room has a leaky faucet. Nurse to patient ratio might be high due to the nature of needy patients there, but they eventually get to the room. I feel for any nursing staff taking care of challenging elderly patients. Rooms are pretty basic from the furnishings provided

I called this facility as we were considering it for a family members care. After the horrible experience I had on the phone alone, I cannot imagine sending a loved one here. I preface this review acknowledging I did call on a holiday weekend, but no one has control over when health emergencies take place. The director was out for the weekend so I had asked to see if anyone was available to speak to me to find out what type of wound care was available. I was literally told that the charge nurse was refusing to speak to me because that wasn’t her job. When I tried to continue to speak to the person working the desk, she hung up on me. I called other facilities and any other place I spoke to explained that it’s the holiday weekend, but they’d work work me to get the information I needed. I found this interaction to be deeply disturbing. I really hope the people in this facility are receiving better care than the impression I got on this phone call.
