They are understaffed, and bring in help that don't know the patients, so those patients that can't communicate verbally sometimes are ignored by them. The regular staff are very good. The facility is mostly clean. I have to say I am unhappy with the amount of attention he gets. They are supposed to do range of motion exercises at least once a day, but he seldom has them done at all. I am there a lot and have seen them done only twice. I have brought this up many times. My brother had a stroke and can't move his right side at all. He also can't speak much. I also agree it can take a very long time to get the light answered.

My father was placed here by the VA for a 1-week temporary stay and had an EXCELLENT experience and nothing but positive comments when he returned home.

Parmly administration KNOW about their failures. They've responded to previous reviews, yet have not made changes. This place is absolutely horrible, and that barely covers it. Nursing staff treated my relative horribly and they are SO mean to patients! Just a complete lack of empathy for their patients. PLEASE do not bring your loved ones here. Look up their state violations. The room was not cleaned before the patient arrival, physician-ordered services were not provided, and patients were left waiting for help for over an hour.

Disappointed with transitional care. My mother-in law (MIL) with dementia was admitted with Covid. They dropped off food trays to her room and did not make sure she could even feed herself, and initially she couldn’t so one of us had to be there every meal. I placed two calls to the social worker and she NEVER returned the calls, nor did her voicemail or email say she was out (this was over the holiday). I eventually had to ask a staff to send a email to her requesting a care conference since she never called me back. Because it took so long to schedule the care conference, it ended up being more of a discharge conference. Had the social worker called me back, several of our concerns could’ve been addressed earlier and possibly not resulted in this two star rating.Very poor communication. My MIL was supposed to have a walking program and after the initial covid restrictions to her room, she was brought to the dining table in a wheelchair unless we walked her out. They didn’t want us to walk her but if we didn’t, all she got to strengthen her legs was less than an hour of therapy in a 24 hour period. We realize it was over the holidays, but it seemed like they had bare bones staffing. Another resident at the table with my MIL told me that the food was not served warm. We also noticed that each time a meal was delivered, the staff chose that time to come, ask questions, check blood pressure, Or do other things that resulted in my MIL not eating a warm meal. Most of the staff were friendly is about as good of a compliment as I can give.
