I would tell anyone to use this facility because of the caring workers to include nurses, aids and especially the rehab workers. Management also listened to all our concerns with care for our needs.

Most staff in general were nice, helpful, and caring. The majority of the place is nice and there's lots of residents out and about.<br><br>But I had some major issues:<br><br>First, I was shown some great areas and rooms. But after we accepeted and everything was settled, my mom was put in a room that didn't look like what I was shown. I cried and felt bamboozled. As if things weren't hard enough. I didn't let my mom know that though. I wanted her transition as smooth as possible. But to "fix" the problem, they told her I didn't like the room or something and asked her if she wanted to move. She said no.<br><br>Then the bigger problems:<br><br>Hardly any communication. (Only one nurse toward the end was responsive, Lisa. And I appreciate her so much)<br><br>The nurse practitioner never called me back about my mom's condition and my concerns.<br><br>Staff kept pushing narcotics on my mom and someone even tried sneaking one to her. Optalis never even got back to me about that.<br><br>As my mom continued to become paranoid and hallucinate, the doctor on staff still maintained she had capacity and due to them pushing narcotics on her (and ignoring her dedication to sobriety)... she had them removed from her chart 2 days before she passed.<br><br>They were able to give her some in her final hours.
