The food is horrible! The food is cold. It takes two hour to get a dizzy pill or other medication. They need more help.

Northview took fantastic care of my great grandmother for a handful of years. They were very attentive, caring, and great to work with families. We loved the pictures they share of events that they do with the residents. Highly recommend the nursing home and rehabilitation wings of this facility.

It has taken me a long time to be able to write this. This facility may look nice, and may even have "good intentions" but their neglect and incompetent staff are responsible for the death of my best friend, aka my mother. I made the excruciating decision to place her in their care when she was released from the hospital after her copd had acted up. This was in April 2020 when the pandemic had just started and the unknowns were many. To avoid exposure through working family members like myself taking care of her, I thought 6 weeks here while she recovered would be good for her. There was no inkling in my mind that she would never leave this wretched place. What were the problems? So many. They were unable to properly apply her cpap mask which caused her great anxiety, which they then "solved" by giving her too many pills. When I would call her there would be difficulty answering because they would keep the phone out of her reach. The night before she passed, she told me they had taken away her buzzer. I was planning to see her (through the window at least)the next day so told her to try and be calm and call me if she couldn't get them to come. That was our last conversation and I think about it almost every day after 2 1/2 years. When I asked what happened they said they found her "like that" when checking on her at 7 am. I don't know if she suffered and tried calling for help or if they simply drugged her with Xanax to keep her quiet. Either way, their incompetence, understaffing and corporate grees led to her death, which would likely not have been for several more years. Having no evidence and no stomach to have an autopsy run, I have kept this mostly to myself because I couldn't write this without losing it...but at least want to warn others, I felt I had to. Whatever you do, I beg you to not send your loved ones here. Legally there is nothing I can do, but I will never forgive or forget this place robbing my best friend of her remaining golden years.
