This is a wonderful place. We have an excellent long-term care unit and a short-term care unit for a rehab stay. All staff are super involved with the care needs of every resident in this place. We truly believe in customer service and promote that every day. The activities department stays busy with fun activities to keep your loved ones involved. The nursing team strives to make sure the best care is given and at all times! Majestic care of Southport has so much to offer.

I just recently had to place my father in a long term care facility due to dementia. We are so pleased to have found Majestic. The staff is so friendly and treats my father so well. The establishment is very clean. Heather the manager, went above and beyond to help us through the process of getting dad in the facility. Anytime I have a question I can call her and ask. She’s so friendly and compassionate. So far I have no complaints. So thankful we chose this facility.

Let me start this off with I’m immensely heartbroken My nana was 54 years old and entered this facility due to losing a toe. 1 year she was here and lost her life due to infection building and her body (she was diabetic and was on kidney dialysis witch she was responding well too) when asked when the last time someone cleaned her amputation site no one had answers. The last time I spoke to my nana they hadn’t unwrapped her foot at all in over a week even tho she was having continued surgeries to scrape infection from her bone in her foot it wasn’t helping no one cleaned her wounds. When u first walk unit his facility you are met with what seems like a nice place. You round the corner to where the patient rooms are and you are met with the most ungodly smell of human pee and other things. My nanas BP was out of wack no one was notified not me who was on the list to be notified of medical events not her husband. The night nana passed I of course was in shock as I entered her room (that she shared) her roommate began to scream at me for crying that late at night not even made aware her own roommate had been laying there dead for over a hour. They made no attempt to give us privacy. My nanas fingers upon death instantly turned green from the amount of infection they let build in her body. I asked the nurse who was the last person to check on her and see her alive and the answer I was met with was “well her kidneys whereby so good” ok great that’s not what I asked. No one could answer who last seen my nanas fingers upon alive no one could answer when the last time herself or her wound had been washed. She kept a uti in this facility as well for over a year. Again my nana was 54 years old. She was responding well to her dialysis as of one week before her death. Her kidneys wherent great but they wherent what ended her life. Majestic care of Southport having the most unreliable uncaring staff I’ve ever met did. My nana was my absolute best friend I sat with her for 5 hours after she passed in this facility when I got there her nurse at the time asked me what funeral home I wanted her taken to I answered and at 8 months pregnant sat with her so she wouldn’t be alone until the funeral home arrived. 4 hours in I called the funeral home myself to see why they where leaving her lay so long and was told by the funeral home the nurse expressed she “had no family with her and was ok to wait until morning “ I’ll never forgive or understand what they put my amazing nana and my 8month pregnant self through that night and the weeks leading up to her passing. Please for the love of god don’t send so much as ur dog to this facility

My mother is currently residing here. She is on dialysis and there for physical therapy. This was not the place she was originally supposed to be in but this was the only place that had availability at the time. She's is consistently ignored by the nurses. Her call light has been ignored for hours on end (I usually spend time with her on the phone and/or video call). The nurses would rather hang out and party with one another than actually care for their patients. My mother is a fall risk and needs help. That is what the nurses are paid to do. Help. As soon as I'm able to, she'll be getting moved to a different facility for her dialysis. This place is a joke and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
