The aids are terrible they get attitudes when someone ask for help even when they cant do anything themselves, they leave people on bedpans for hours. I would not recommend this place at all.

I was there for several weeks following a hospital stay. The staff was beyond helpful in y recovery.

This place is just what my Appa (Dad) needed for Rehab! Special shout out to his PT/OT/ST therapist Tami she is such a HUGE advocate for all her patients. Ms. Nicole the Dietary Lead also cares so deeply for my Appa and other patients dietary needs. Ms. Mary was also such a beacon of positivity when she was at my Appa’s care conference. Being greeted by Ms. Juanita is always a treat. Lastly, I believe her name is Neisha but she has always taken such special care of my dad from when he started at Laurels.

If you really care about the person, I would not use this so called skilled nursing home. My mom was in the hospital for over a week, and she has a lot of medical issues she needs medicine morning, night and evening. She checked in a little after 1 p.m. on Friday from the hospital. By Saturday morning at 11 am, she still did not receive her medicine. Some of her medicine has some very bad side effects if she doesn’t receive them. The person I spoke with had no empathy at all at first. However, by the end of it, he pulled me aside, and said “I wouldn’t want my mom in a place like this.” I asked him that question in the beginning after explaining the issues. And it is not about being right or wrong. It is about being human. I actually left with a tear in my eye, and shook his hand because he was honest. What also really upset me is I included a new prescription of this medicine that was not opened as instructed by the hospital. However, they still had to order it some where in Michigan. If she would have stayed, hopefully she would have gotten by Monday? Because of the seriousness of my mom not receiving her medicine, and since they couldn’t even let me know when it was going to arrive, I had to check her out. It is so sad what has happened to the medical field. They also told her not to get up because she is so weak, but when she would press for assistance they would just ignore her. You think if a skilled nursing home was taking a patient from the hospital, they would have the medicine first, but I guess that would be too easy. I am just very thankful nothing bad happened to my mom while she was there.

I chose the Laurels of Worthington based on the reviews strictly for Physicial Therapy. Their PT/OT team are fantastic. They are a very skilled and caring group of providers Who excelled in helping me get back on my feet and back home! My review is only of the PT/OT Team. As for the Nursing aspect, it was very hit and missed. It would not give it more than three stars.
