The facility is very well kept, they keep the floors nicely cleaned. My mother is a resident at Lanessa and they've taken amazing care of her

Excellent activities! My mother loves the frequent programs! It helps keeps her busy and Jennifer from activities is her favorite. I can’t thank the activity team enough!

The Recreation Department always seems to have creative activities, live music, and recognition of multicultural events. It's not easy providing a high level of care with limited resources, but the Lanessa Team makes it happen.

Please avoid this place if possible. The lack of compassion is unreal. The quality of care for these patients is an issue. Whether it is understaffing or just plain negligence, these patients are not getting the proper care they need and deserve. My grandmother was here for two weeks to get stronger after pneumonia. In those two weeks she had fallen (she was a fall risk that was suppose to have 24 hour watch ) and got 6 stitches in her head and a broken vertebrae in her neck. The TVs were never plugged in. The Day room activities never seemed to be going on even though times were posted for them. Patients were constantly asking for food. I found my grandmother crying in bed because she needed to use the bathroom and no one was coming. She then complained to the nurses that it was hurting to urinate. I personally requested a Urinalysis be sent out to make sure, as she was extremely confused all of a sudden and complaining. Urine was never sent. Her son asked a second time and they said they would send one. My nana ended up passing away. I questioned if the test was done upon picking up her items. They said it was sent out the day prior (a week after I had requested one). I followed up multiple times for results and was told they don’t know…. My nana was put in a neck brace that was dangerously to big for her. We asked for a smaller one and they said they were working on it. She never got one. Staff made jokes that she was slipping her head out through the hole halfway and getting stuck. Improper fit of a neck brace does not provide proper stabilization of an injury and can further do damage and can result in airway restrictions. I was never greeted and not one nurse introduced themselves. The facility is not comforting. It is a shame.

i know I can be a difficult patient to deal with in recovery, but I insist on Lanessa for rehab simply because the staff makes me feel safe, protected,, & cared for, the unit Manager, Steven is calm, educated, & has a wisdom that is beyond his age. I highly recommend,
