The Levering Family needs to be sued for the treatment of Patients in their care......Thank God i got my father out when i did, At his new home, he is getting the care He needed but was not given at Delaware Court, and has gained 15 pounds in the last 2 months. The Delaware Court Nursing home was more concerned about getting Money out of the Family, even though Social Security was paying all my fathers bill's, I was Hounded nonstop for payments that had already been paid...... it didn't stop until the financial administrator was Fired. My father was given a used Wheelchair, instead of them getting him a new one, which his Insurance would pay for, he has now been measured for fit and his new wheelchair is now on the way, now that he is not at Delaware Court. He fell multiple times, with no call to the family to inform them of these falls. He developed a bed sore on his tail bone that went clear to the bone, Neosporin and a gauze pad was the treatment, and took half a year to heal, but by then the damage was done, he now has pain and discomfort all the time due to the skin now being so thin. After living in Delaware his whole life and being at Delaware Court for Many Many years, they started saying he was being Abusive, at 112 pounds and 88 years old, not able to stand on his own, how abusive could he have been. After Speaking to many of the nurses who cared for my father, not once did they say he was being Abusive. When they sent him out to the new nursing home, No contact was made with the family, when called all they would say is that he was no longer with us.......after 2 weeks of me trying to understand what happen, or if he was Even still alive, i was told he had been moved and that he had my number, if he wanted to Talk to me. After calling around, i finally Found Where he had been moved to. 2 hours away from his home, where he had Friends, and wanted to Stay.............The Levering Management Company Should Be Ashamed..................DO NOT send the People you care about to any of the Levering Management Companies Nursing homes, seems their Profit Takes priority over human life............

My family member was in Delaware Court for quite a few weeks for rehab and then to stay. We were impressed by the care there and felt like she was on a good schedule for recovery. She did very well at DC. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Delaware Court if you have a relative who needs after care or a place to stay.

I’m just thanking god that my grandma has been safely relocated to a different nursing home. Due to the neglect and negligence of nursing at this business, my grandmother a +5 or more year resident lost her leg to amputation due to a deep bone infection in here foot that was neglected several months after she broke her right foot. A very tragic accident That could’ve been prevented, had the establishment abide by state guidelines and regulations when caring for elderly persons. This situation has since been reported and under investigation. I highly encourage any person looking to relocate their family members to a safe nursing home to avoid this place. My grandmother was advised that if she had waited any longer, it could have possibly taken her life. She is 82 years old with a heart stint, blood pressure ,wheelchair bound, And any and everything that she does requires assistance, so this means safely sanitizing and cleaning her foot she would need help doing this, which the nurses failed to do which caused this situation to happen. I will say the only nurse I know for sure that did every and anything she possibly could to properly care for my grandmother, I will withhold her name as of right now due to the circumstances. Myself, both her daughters and her son Are hurt, Disappointed, and are emotionally distraught from this situation. We were all in good spirits, thinking that she was getting the proper physical therapy on both of her legs so maybe possibly we could have her walking or at least standing one more day one more time, but right now it looks like the road is going to be a lot more harder than we thought it was going to But we will continue to be strong, support her and stand by her side during this difficult time!

I stayed with DC for 4 - 5 months last year. I was very unhappy about staying there, not realizing how sick I was then. Forced to stay there the head nurse LAURA gathered everyone around to humiliate me.. She loudly announced she had authority to transfer me. Where do you want to go. Excited I said home please. She said I can't do that. I said okay a friend's house. Again she said no but acted as though I I must go somewhere immediately. Not until I was a puddle of tears did she stop. Out of that I got this was acceptable behavior. She was this way every time I had to deal with her. Also the day shift head nurse TRACY was no better enjoying the power to give me my medicine or not.... I could tell you stories for days about this place. Had I stayed there I know I would be dead... And I was able to talk... I really felt bad for those who couldn't.

This is an excellent facility. Our dad went for rehabilitation and the entire staff is outstanding! They all treated my father with respect. We can’t thank them enough for all the care and help they gave our whole family. They kept us posted on his progress and explained everything. I personally observed the staff with many of the other residents/patients and they truly treat them like family. Very knowledgeable staff. Another important observation was it is a very clean facility and smells fresh! We highly recommend this wonderful facility! My father would tell you the dood was awesome also which is very important to older individuals. Thanks so much to the entire staff!
