My mother enjoys the staff and atmosphere at Capri Gardens. I'm so glad she's able to get et out of her room and participate in activities. Verlie G comes to check on her and makes sure she's able to enjoy being there.💕

Physical therapists and occupational therapists were GREAT and a clean facility. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful except for one nurse that obviously hates her job and is just there for a paycheck (Jenny-day shift). I was a rare resident that didn't need much help. I was only there for a broken tibia and ankle. I ended up getting metal put in my bone from my knee to my ankle. They offered a bed rail so that it would be easier for me to get in and out of bed and its 10 days later and still have yet to see one and I even signed a waiver 4 days ago. I asked for medication to help with a yeast infection (due to antibiotics) and it took them 9 days to finally get me 1 pill that would clear it up. Even though the hospital sent me here with a script and my orthopedic surgeon agreed to that script, they decided they're not going to follow it and are going to change my pain meds from every 4 hours to every 6 hours and its only been 2 weeks since the surgery. When I asked nurse JENNY who do I need to speak to, to fix this issue she stated "no one. I already told you how it was going to be". I wasn't aware that she ran this facility (she doesnt, just seems to think so). I called and spoke to my surgeon as soon as she left and they stated they would send a order in saying every 4-6 hours as needed. When shift change happened, I asked the new nurse If I could get my pain medication (5 hours later) she said I had to wait another hour. Since I was confused on why the time hasn't changed, I was asking the nurse some questions and explaining the situation. Well JENNY just happened to be walking by at that time and decided it would be appropriate to talk trash about me as a resident right outside my door. I decided that I will be leaving this facility within the next 48 hours. I've heard an elderly woman (who resides across the hall from me) screaming in pain for 2 hours straight about her back and all they do is say "calm down". They scream conversations from one end of the hall to the other at 3am. it sounds like a party in the hallway. Dont send your loved ones here, especially with JENNY working. She really does hate her job here. Oh and my blood pressure has been AMAZING when I was recieving my medication as prescribed from the hospital and orthopedic surgeon, but at the 6hr mark they took my blood pressure and it was high (155/101). Update. Nurse Jenny has been super nice to me today and even walked in with a paper saying "good news, we got a fax from ur surgeon saying every 4-6 hours as needed for your meds". AND MAINTENANCE JUST NOW showed up to put bed rails on my bed. He said he just got the order. 😆 🤣 I requested em when I first got here 10 days ago 😆 🤣 Weird how now that I'm being discharged she's so nice and my meds will be given to me as ordered. SMH. oh and I already called my surgeons office and verified that they faxed that paperwork yesterday.
