This is absolutely without a doubt THE WORST nursing home in the county. My mom came here from another facility to be closer to family and the mistreatment she suffered here is not even describable. She didnt even have access to a toilet or shower in her room. They gave her a shower in another room once a week. ONE SINGLE SHOWER A WEEK. And then when my mother WITH DEMENTIA got upset and had an episode the CNA that was supposed to take care of her called the police and when the police came they saw my mom's state and the CNA insisted they press charges against my almost 80 year old WHEELCHAIR BOUND mother. So now my mother at the very end of her life is having to appear in court? This place should be the ones in court. Malpractice. Neglect. Mistreatment. Horrid living conditions. I have never been so appalled at a care facilities conduct in my entire journey through my mom's end of life. Stay FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!

In January My Care Team Helped me to find a Rehabilitation Center; Because I had my left hip replacement. This was my First time in as a PATIENT. There’s always room for improvement but I had an health and it was cared for unt the following Wednesday. I had arrived on Thursday I kept telling everyone that I was on Fire on my bottom. So one night Valreran was put on me and That’s an arthritis cream. I had gotten unruly by then. My bottom was RAW. I hean Nurse attitude was horrible and the charge nurse had to get permission. UDG I WAS RAW by then.. . Do you realize that the DR didn’t came until WEDNESDAY. That head nurse was lying and the head nurse was tracing behind the other. It still all and Sll my care was much better than my right hip stay.

I want to give Carmel Health and Living my highest recommendation. My mother was admitted to Carmel Health for rehab after surgery. She received the best care possible and recovered nicely. Special shout out to Aniece, and Kesha as they went above and beyond to help my mother in her rehab. After rehab, my mother became a full time resident at the facility. Kimberly in admissions made the transition to full time resident a seamless process. Her outstanding care continued as a full time resident. The full time nursing staff were attentive and invaluable in continuously evaluating her condition and recommending treatments. A very special shout out to Winnie her primary care giver. The aide staff was exceptional and I would like to recognize, Kesha, Vivian, Annelle, Daniel, Josh and Ariel for their devotion to my mother. The business office makes it all happen. Navigating all the rules and regulations surrounding the Medicare and Medicaid can be very confusing. Linda and Melissa in the business office were invaluable sorting through the process. They were and are a fantastic resource and will go above and beyond to help families through the process.

My wife is in the Memory Care unit. The staff are extremely kind, caring, knowledgeable and interact with the residents with respect and understanding. The staff encourages the residents to participate in activities every day. They monitor their health and overall wellbeing and provide physical, occupational and speech therapy as needed. My wife is cared for and valued, and I am grateful for them every day.

My mom has been under the care of the great staff at Carmel Health and Living for a couple of years now. Kimberly initially showed us the facility. Since then, we have met Annie, Denise, Keisha, Elizabeth, Nerissa, Jason, Linda, and many more. Everyone is kind, professional, and have been since mom first arrived. They keep mom entertained. The most impressive thing I notice is that not only do the staff in Memory Care do a great job of taking care of her, but the entire staff within the building call her by name. I get a call at least once a week keeping me up to date regarding mom. I highly recommend the great team at Carmel Health & Living!
