The Memory Care and Memory Care Director, Nicole are horrible. My loved one lived there a short time..Little to no communication with Nicole. When you contact her she gives you the sense you are bothering her. It does not seem her or her staff have any additional training in Dementia. These people would like to see all their residents highly medicated and sedated to make their job easier even if the drugs are dangerous to the persons health and they really don't need them. Just because you have Drmentia does not mean you have to be on antipychotic medication and sedatives. A lot of those drugs do more harm than good in people with certain medical conditions. We made the mistake of switching Prinary Care to onsite doctors. They were never checking labs and my loved one ended up hospitalized due to organ failure from a medication they prescribed. I was the one asking for labs to get done and expressing my concerns. I'm not a doctor and should not be my job to tell them to order labs. When they finally did my loved one had organ failure and was hospitalized. Luckily medications were stopped and my loved one lived. I know of at least one recent lawsuit due to negligence at this facilty. I would not be surprised if there were many. What happened to.my loved one or even worse( death) probably happened to other people here. Due to the poor management by the Memory Care Director and poor care I can not recommend this facilty.
