As a granddaughter, the greatest gift is peace of mind - and that’s exactly what Lainee at The Bristal has given our family. Knowing that my grandpa is not only safe, but genuinely looked out for, supported, and treated with dignity means everything to us. From the very beginning, Lainee brought such warmth, clarity, and professionalism to the process. She took the time to understand our family, answered every question with patience, and made what could have been an overwhelming transition feel thoughtful and reassuring. What stands out most is the life my grandfather is able to live there. The programming is stimulating and intentional - from cultural experiences tied to NYC (Shakespeare outings, Juilliard performances, art studio time) to fitness classes, companionship, and meaningful new friendships. There’s real effort put into fostering independence while also ensuring support is always available. The communication with families is consistent and transparent, which builds an incredible amount of trust. For any family navigating this stage, having someone like Lainee guiding you makes all the difference. We are so grateful for the care, the resources, and the vibrant community she helped introduce us to. It has brought comfort not just to my grandfather, but to all of us.

Lainee Steinberg has been a lifeline for my family. Her kindness, knowledge, thoughtfulness, and optimism have helped us immensely throughout this journey. My mom loves Bridge and Lainee assured her that bridge would be part of her life at Bristal and it has since the day she moved in. My mom is so happy at Bristal and I know that having Lainee there, always smiling, caring and accessible has made all the difference in my mother‘s adjustment and happiness. I also want to say that Lainee helped my mom make the transition when she said just come with a suitcase and you can stay as long as you want! My mom is living at The Bristal since April 2025!

Bristal is an amazing place. Our father has been at 2 other senior assisted living centers and this one is by far the best. The place is beautifully appointed, the rooms and facilities are specifically designed for the residents to access everything easily. Dining options on many floors and food is pretty good for a senior assisted living home and we can easily just join in for a meal in the lovely main floor cafe or on dad’s floor. They have plenty of activities and trips to attend that he’s done more while he’s been here than most of his dedicated work/life. What makes this senior assisted living place exceptional is the great staff, their personal attention and friendship with each resident and their genuine care for what my dad personally needs. Most of the team knows my dad, they know what he likes and what he needs, what he loves to eat as well as what he should or should not eat so much. The Bristal team is proactive, collaborate well together and they are pretty responsive to us. Tei at the front desk is amazing. Whenever appropriate, staff will share their direct contact information with us so we can communicate directly to figure things out. We’ve never experienced this kind of customer service and attention to detail before. My dad’s favorite aide on his floor is Alecia Ford. She’s amazing with him and she knows just how to work with him to support him and get him to do the things he needs to do. She’ll even reach out to us if dad needs something. We know how aides have to juggle taking care of many residents at the same time but they also make a point to let the team figure things out so that my dad gets taken care of by his fav Alecia whenever it’s possible. We do have to communicate with Bristal occasionally on what dad needs and how he needs it, but the team steps up, collaborates with us until we figure it out. They are attentive and they follow through. My dad is happy, in great condition and has fewer health incidents here. We saw a picture of him on the day he moved in to Bristal a couple of years ago. Today dad looks happier and he actually looks more vibrant and healthier. We attribute a good deal of this to the amazing team and the great care he gets here. 😊 UPDATE My dear father passed away in January 2025. My family, will be forever indebted to Bristal for helping my father have the most graceful dignified last few years of his life. This end of life caregiving work is not easy. And yet this amazing team still gives their all every day, they treat the residence with such respect. No matter how curmudgeon someone might be. My father was given such incredible support 24/7 day and night. Thank you to everyone at Bristal.
