Met with Shannon Cord, Executive Director regarding assisted living for my parents. She was very knowledgeable and patient as we had a lot of questions as we start our search. We were very impressed with the community and feel this could be a great fit when we are ready.

Decent facility, but I was very disappointed by the professionalism of the staff during my visit. I was visiting my grandmother and went downstairs to look for water. An aide informed me there was a vending machine in the basement and directed me to the nurses’ station to ask the nurse on duty for permission. The nurse working that day, Reggie, told me I was not allowed to go to the basement but offered to bring me a small bottle of water that staff receive instead. I politely accepted and thanked him. He instructed me to wait by the elevator while he went to get it. I waited by the elevator as instructed, but after standing for a moment, I sat down on a bench against the wall nearby. From where I was sitting, I could not be seen from the hallway leading back to the elevator. While waiting, I overheard Reggie speaking to another nurse down the hall in a loud, exaggerated, and irritated tone, saying words to the effect of: “Yeah, and she asked me if she could go down to the basement to the vending machine, like no, you can’t go to the basement! And now I don’t even know where she went.” Moments later, he turned the corner, saw me seated exactly where I had been waiting, and immediately stopped speaking. His demeanor changed instantly. I did not confront him, as I was honestly shocked and uncomfortable. I simply thanked him for the water and returned to spending time with my grandmother. This interaction left me feeling embarrassed, belittled, and uncomfortable, and it negatively impacted what should have been a meaningful visit. I was polite throughout and was only asking for something as basic as water. It is concerning to witness staff openly gossiping or speaking disrespectfully about visitors, especially in a facility responsible for the care of people’s loved ones.

Update:
Management contacted me after this review was posted and asked me to remove it. I declined. Since my original experience, my grandmother has unfortunately fallen alone at this facility on at least two occasions. After speaking with others, I’ve also learned that concerns about lack of supervision and negligence are not uncommon. Based on both my personal experience and what has happened since, I would strongly encourage families to do thorough research before trusting this facility with the care of their loved ones.

I’ve had the opportunity to visit the community several times, and each visit has truly touched my heart. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and care that fills the space. Jennifer, the Reflection Director, pours so much dedication, compassion, and genuine love into both her residents and staff. It’s clear that this isn’t just a job for her — it’s a calling.
Seeing the way she leads with kindness brings such a deep sense of comfort and reassurance. The Reflections community looks absolutely beautiful, and the staff is always welcoming, attentive, and incredibly helpful. It’s the kind of place where you can truly feel safe knowing your loved ones are cared for with dignity and heart.
