If I can give this place zero stars, I would. Please do not send your loved ones here. I drove up from Florida to rescue my mother. She was supposed to be getting rehab to help her walk, they did nothing with her. Her mental state was declining rapidly. She was diagnosed with encephalitis a week prior and no one was taking this seriously. Not even UCONN hospital that sent her to this awful place. The PA called me and told me my mother had copd and Vascular Dementia. This was her 'professional opinion' not a true diagnosis. I did some research. No Dementia progresses over days. There was clearly something wrong and they did not care. When they called me to ask if I wanted her to be a DNR, I knew I had to do something. She had fallen numerous times but, only called me the once, when I got to Connecticut. I told them that I was coming to get her an MRI. They were very upset with me. Told me I cant just take her and go get an MRI. I needed a doctor referral. I sternly said, Ill be there in an hour and was hung up on. 5 minutes later Administration called me to threaten me that if I took my mother out she won't be allowed to come back. GOOD! I told them. I wasn't going to allow my mother to die in that facility. This was April 16th. She is still in the hospital and has been diagnosed with Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma. This facility is DANGEROUS. I feel bad for all of the people that are sent here with no advocate. How many patients did they WRONGFULLY 'DIAGNOSE' and as a result died in their care? This facility should be investigated.

My 88 year old mother went there on November 26th 2025 after having knee surgery. The place is very run down and in desperate need of a makeover. Rooms needs painting, the furniture is old, beds are old. As far as the care my mother received it was not up to par. She was there for 8 days and she was out of bed twice she was supposed to be walking right away. They were not managing her pain correctly with the medication they were giving her. She had to pee and poop in a diaper which she's never done in her life. I tried to tell one of the night nurses i think the supervisor they had to schedule her medication every 6 hours for pain as opposed to giving it to her as needed. By the time she was in pain and asked for medication It was too late. They were supposed to keep her pain meds up to speed so she wouldn't be in pain so she could walk. After eight days I took her out of there because she was in so much pain all the time & not getting better . I had her taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital where they evaluated her and said she was severely dehydrated. She was there two days . A lot of the staff was nice especially Marco who was one of the RN's and many of the Aides were pleasant but the care she got there was not good. If it wasn't for me constantly being there and constantly calling to check on my mother I honestly think she would have died there her kidneys probably would have failed. They had her hooked up to a catheter they should have seen how dark the urine was and know how dehydrated she was. Would not recommend this place not even short-term especially if they're not able to get up and walk around and care for themselves. Like most rehab facilities they were short staffed. I feel sorry for those who didn't have someone there to advocate for them. Our Healthcare System needs a serious makeover. These rehab facilities are all run down yet they're getting tons of money especially from Medicaid & medicate patients. It wouldn't hurt to paint the hallways paint the rooms update the furniture occasionally so the place isn't so depressing. And I've heard it's like that everywhere. Not sure why the state doesn't come in and address these issues Especially the shortage of Staff it's not safe when there isn't enough staff to take care of the people that are there.

They knew I was changing facilities so they ordered all my meds and the destroyed them. I tried to talk to the director of nurses but the receptionist would not let me. I switched on recommendation of my infectious disease dr. She could not believe how they treated me.

My mother was just discharged recently. Marco the nurse was great. The ap nurse in the white coat Christine was great. Kim the head nurse came to speak with me but seemed annoyed as if I were bothering her or wasting her time. I didn’t like that. She also didn’t smile . Otherwise great staff and facility ! PT was great!

I want to express my thanks to the administration, nurses and medical staff who unitedly made my experience admitting my dad to a nursing facility amazing!!! Such a warm welcome beginning with the smile on the phone to the smiles in person! Suzanne made the transition seamless as she was so thorough with every step of the way. I never felt lost... the staff was so attentive and caring to my dad... all I can say is AMAZING!
