The management at Aegis Living Ballard is a complete disappointment. Beneath the fancy decor and luxury branding lies a deeply broken system. The leadership is disorganized, unresponsive, and clearly more focused on profit than people — both residents and staff. Workers are overworked, underpaid, and undervalued, which directly affects the quality of care residents receive. It feels like a shiny trap designed to impress families while quietly cutting corners behind the scenes. If you care about your loved ones or respect hard-working caregivers, look elsewhere.

My father spent 10 months at Aegis of Ballard. Let me tell you that he was a very introverted man, and had mild dementia along with mobility challenges. The staff was like an extended family to me. The heavy burden they helped me carry is something I am so grateful for. My dad felt safe and well cared for. They helped navigate his medical care and updated me regularly. It's always scary moving your lived one in a facility and I was probably more scared than most and I am glad I made the decision I did. I would highly recommend Aegis in Ballard for anyone. I really love these guys!

What really stands out about Aegis is the sense of joy and dignity they bring to everyday life. Whether it's the engaging activities, delicious meals, or just the warm smiles from team members, Aegis creates an environment where residents truly thrive. We couldn’t be more grateful for the love and support they show every single day. Highly recommended!

In the five months since my mother and her husband began their independent living experience at Aegis Ballard, have they flourished socially and emotionally. We feel the staff has become a part of our extended family, and a trusted circle of support that has provided us peace of mind. As the needs of my mom and her husband change, I feel so at-peace knowing there is a staff of caregivers who will rise to meet those needs. The staff, every one of whom has demonstrated a welcoming spirit and genuine care, greets every resident by name with a smile and an authentic interest in their plans for the day. They have shown great responsiveness and always greet my husband and I with a smile and incredible hospitality when we come for a visit to share a meal, or scheduled family activities. Aegis Ballard offers support for the families of residents, and I have personally participated in their beautifully led monthly Zoom support groups. I leave these sessions uplifted, encouraged, and comforted through the sharing of experiences with other family members as we navigate this change and transition. When there have been concerns, I have found the leadership to be inviting, open, and incredibly responsive. Aegis Ballard is a beautifully appointed, peaceful, joyful and always buzzing hub of activity residence. It is a financial investment, to be sure, but there has not been a day where I questioned the value, or the genuine happiness of my treasured family who will, I know, be so happy to call Aegis Ballard their forever home.

My mom has always been a very self-determined, headstrong, person. Now, at 88 years old, she's had to make some very difficult adjustments to her lifelong independence and lifestyle. Finding a suitable match for long-term care was challenging for our family. Luckily, we found Aegis Living on Market Street in Ballard as a residence and care facility. Aegis Living is not only top-notch in every aspect of senior care but also gives complete reassurance to our family that all of her needs and medications are being met with the utmost professionalism. The residence is very clean and the dining room offers excellent cuisine with daily specials. Everyday there are activities, exercise sessions, and programs designed to get my mom out of her room and involve herself with the other residents. Entertainers are regularly invited to perform on the grand piano in lobby and there'll even be a concert there in a few weeks for New Year's Eve. Although there are still times that my mom has the blues, our family can rest assured that she is has a group of new friends, gets three delicious hot meals a day, receives all her required medication in a timely manner, and most importantly, - she is safe and sound. As a family, we are very fortunate to have found Aegis Living in Ballard. Thank you to Paul and Michelle and the entire team there!
