We recently moved to Seattle to be near our children as my wife of 50 years had developed Parkinsonian Dementia. The family knew she had to go to a memory unit. We researched for a long while and ultimately decided on the Aegis Laurelhurst. I liked the vibe, the staff and the facility itself. My wife has been there for a little over a year now and safe to say I made the right decision. She declined greatly over this period and the care staff, nursing staff and executive staff have been there throughout this ordeal. My wife is cared for unwavingly each and every day. I have found the staff to be dedicated and very empathetic. I visit my wife a lot, and have witnessed each and every resident getting the same care and attention. Most importantly my wife has retained her dignity in the way she is dressed, groomed and at mealtimes. I couldn’t have asked for more. Memory loss is painful to witness especially for a loved one and I truly believe she is in the right facility. Everything that Aegis promised us when admitted, they have followed through exceptionally.

My aunt has been living here for a few months now and we’ve both been so happy with it. Karen made our move-in so smooth and easy. She has made friends through the walking club and is always signed up for outings and happy hours. The Mariners games in the pub are her favorite! It’s been really nice seeing her so social and excited about things again. The staff has been wonderful too.

Just toured the Laurelhurst community with my grandma and we both loved it. Hannah showed us around and made us feel right at home! Everyone was so friendly and it actually felt warm and lived in, not stiff or overly formal like some places we’ve seen. We stayed for lunch and the food was really good too. Could totally picture my grandma being happy there. Kudos to Chef Thomas for accommodating my grandma’s gluten free diet!

My grandma lives at Aegis Living Laurelhurst and we had the BEST time at their Renaissance First Thursday event! The food was seriously so good, the decor was beautiful, and the live performers made the whole night so fun and interactive for both residents and families. My grandma has made such great friends there, and it was so special seeing everyone laughing, dancing, and genuinely enjoying time together. Seeing her so happy and engaged means everything to our family. Huge shoutout to the staff for putting together such a creative and memorable evening!
