We recently moved to Seattle to be near our children as my wife of 50 years had developed Parkinsonian Dementia. The family knew she had to go to a memory unit. We researched for a long while and ultimately decided on the Aegis Laurelhurst. I liked the vibe, the staff and the facility itself. My wife has been there for a little over a year now and safe to say I made the right decision. She declined greatly over this period and the care staff, nursing staff and executive staff have been there throughout this ordeal. My wife is cared for unwavingly each and every day. I have found the staff to be dedicated and very empathetic. I visit my wife a lot, and have witnessed each and every resident getting the same care and attention. Most importantly my wife has retained her dignity in the way she is dressed, groomed and at mealtimes. I couldn’t have asked for more. Memory loss is painful to witness especially for a loved one and I truly believe she is in the right facility. Everything that Aegis promised us when admitted, they have followed through exceptionally.
